As a group, Wockhardt Hospital has a sharp focus on world-class infrastructure and

technology. When they planned to come up with a new-age hospital in South Mumbai,

it was decided that new facility should be equipped with the latest audio visual

technology to enrich visitor experience. The audio visual technology was used not

only to increase awareness about their hospital amongst their patients and visitors,

but also to showcase their superiority and strengths in the arena of medicine and

health. They had very well understood the benefits of using audio visual technology

and its impact in today's world and decided to leverage it to the fullest.

THE CLIENT

THE REQUIREMENT

Installed in a huge area (Atrium) on the 13th floor of the Hospital, this creation is named

as the “Atrium Wall”. A gigantic video wall made up of 27 units of 55 inch thin bezel

LED Displays arranged in 9 x3 array is installed in the Atrium, supported by column line

array speakers to give an enriching audio visual experience, whenever any event is

arranged in the Atrium space. The Video Wall is used for various applications such as

trainings, expert panel discussions and presentations. The content displayed on the

video wall is controlled and managed by a high-end video wall controller, which is the

heart of the complete solution. The IT team of hospital has the flexibility to choose the

content to be displayed and the layouts in which the content can be shown. The

complete video wall can be operated and managed through an intuitive wireless touch

panel integrated with centralized control system.

THE SOLUTION

Godrej AV Solutions sales and design team worked closely with Wockhardt team to

understand their needs and expectations from proposed solution. We designed and

deployed two large size video walls and twenty-nine networked information displays

across the facility.

Proudly named as “Doctors' Wall”, this 2 x 4 LED Video Wall, made up of 8 units of 55

inch thin bezel LED displays, is used to showcase the details of the various medical

experts, surgeons and physicians associated with the hospital. It also displays the

various types of treatments and facilities available at the hospital. This video hall,

installed at the very entrance lobby of the Hospital, runs 24x7, serving the hospital and

its patients.

Information Display (Digital Signage) Solution

This facility spans across 20 floors in

huge building in South Mumbai area.

While few floors are dedicated to

patient wards, ICUs, Operation

Theaters and OPDs, few floors are

used by the administrative, IT and

marketing teams. For improved

communication across the facility,

the hi-tech information display

(Digital Signage) solution showcasing

information about the various facilities available at the hospital, various initiatives

taken by them, or any special campaign going on at that time.

The complete solution involves

29 (mix of 42” and 50”) LED Displays

backed by with advanced digital

signage and management platform.

This solution helps IT/Marketing

team of Wockhardt Hospital to

program, schedule and play their

chosen content on all LED displays

from central location. The solution

also helps the management team in

easy monitoring, control, fault finding of complete solution from central location

without reaching individual displays.

The Achievement

The solution was implemented within short period of time and it now provides helpful

health and hospital related information such as hospital announcements, doctor

profiles, procedures available, special programmes, safety messages etc to patients

and visitors. The solution also helps hospital management in fast and efficient

communication with employees of the hospital.
