ENPREP™ 110 ECAlkaline soak cleaner

INTRODUCTION

ENPREP 110 EC is especially developed for use in energy conserving systems.It is designed for use at lower temperatures than normal which will result in considerable savings in energyconsumption.

ENPREP 110 EC is a highly efficient alkaline soak cleaner, suitable for steel, copper and brass.

OPERATING CONDITIONS

Concentration 40 - 80 g/lTemperature 40 - 70°CTanks and heaters SteelAgitation Mechanical or mild air is beneficial

The exact concentration and temperature required will depend on the time available and the type of soil to beremoved. It is not advised to operate at temperatures above 70°C since this will cause unnecessarily highheating costs.

MAKE-UP PROCEDURE

Please read handling and storage instructions before preparing the solution.

Fill the tank ¾ full with water and heat to about 50°C. The required amount of ENPREP 110 EC should beadded with continuous stirring. When dissolved, adjust the solution to the desired level and adjust to theoperating temperature.

CLEANER CONTROL

Take a 10 ml sample of the working solution.Dilute to 150 ml with demineralised or deionised water.Add 5 to 6 drops of Phenolphthalein indicator.Titrate with 1N hydrochloric acid until the colour changes to the first permanent yellow.

WASTE DISPOSAL

Solutions of ENPREP 110 EC are alkaline. Disposal often only required neutralisation to pH 6-8 with an acid,allowing the sludge to settle and discharge liquid to sewer.However, local regulations on effluent discharge may require other treatment and you are advised to check withyour Regional Water Authority.Enthone - OMI will be pleased to advise on any specific installation.

HANDLING & STORAGE

ENPREP 110 EC is an alkaline material.Contact with eyes and skin should be avoided.Protect eyes with goggles and wear protective clothing.In case of eye contact flush with water and seek medical attention.Store in dry away from acids and foodstuffs.
