The following apply to the parent/guardian:

1. I understand that part of the program experience involves activities and group living arrangements and interactions that may be new to my child, and that they may come with certain risks and uncertainties beyond what my child may be used to dealing with at home. I acknowledge that I am aware of these risks, and assuming them on behalf of my child.

2. I acknowledge that no environment is risk-free, and so I have instructed my child on the importance of abiding by the program’s rules and policies. I agree that we have reviewed and understand the rules and policies and my child will obey them.

3. Although guidelines are well established and staff are well trained to put systems in place to support and protect every student, JKCP students are intentionally given the opportunity to choose options during free time, some of which will be supervisedandsomeofwhichmaybeindependent.Duringsuchfreetime, itisimperativethatstudentsrespectprogramrules and behavioral guidelines and exercise caution and good judgment to ensure their well being.
