step 1 – GettinG stArted

• Enrol–youenrolincoreand/orelective/optiontopics.EnrolmentintopicswillresultinstudentcontributionamountsortuitionfeesbeingchargedtoyourFeeAccount.

•Register–youneedtoregisterintoindividualclassestoattendthoseclasstimes.Ifthereisonlyoneclassavailable,youwillbeautomaticallyregistered.

• Semester–theacademicyearisdividedintotwosemestersformostteaching.SometopicsareheldinNon-Semesterperiods,egintensivesorsummerschools.

• Topic–asubjectthatformspartofyourcourse.Afull-timefirstyearstudentwillnormallyenrolin4topicsineachsemester,dependingontheircourserequirements.

• Topic code –analphanumericcodethatidentifiesatopicbysubjectareaandlevel,egBIOL1112–BiologyandSociety.Quotethecodewheneveryouaremakingenquiriesorenrollinginatopic.

• Topic coordinator–thepersonresponsibleforatopic.Directanytopicrelatedqueriestoyourtopiccoordinator.

• Unit–eachtopicisgivenaweightinginunits.Full-timestudentsnormallycomplete18unitseachsemester,or36unitsayear.A3-yearcourserequiresthesuccessfulcompletionof108unitsthatmeetthecourserulerequirements.

• Withdraw–tochangetopicsornotcontinuestudyingatopic,youmustwithdrawyourenrolmentinthattopic.Whenyouwithdrawyouwillbeautomaticallyremovedfromallclassregistrations.

OnceyouhavereadtheDeclaration,clickon‘Ihavereadandacceptthedeclarationandwanttoproceedwithenrolment’.
