Year 6 Art Works
This year Years 5&6 are involved in some focused skills lessons in Visual Arts. Mrs Deb Clancy will work across the classes this year. The work focuses around Religious Education as the vehicle for expression in a visual form. Below is some of the work completed by Year 6 over the last couple of weeks.
Larkin Place Carpark
Thank you to the many parents who, each morning and afternoon, take care when parking in the marked bays. It is these parents who are consistently mindful of the safety of both children and adults in the carpark. Please make sure that your driving behaviour is always safe around the school area.
Remember that there is NO kiss & drop zone in Larkin Place. You are risking the safety of your child
and others by stopping and dropping your child/ren at the Larkin Place gate.
Catholic Schools Week
Catholic Schools week begins on Monday, 6 March 2017. Throughout this week we celebrate all that it means to be a Catholic school. Thursday, 9 March 2017 we will celebrate a Lenten Liturgy together as a school community. On Friday, 10 March 2017 we welcome parents into our classrooms from 2.30pm. P&F Meeting
The P&F Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 1 March at 7pm in The Heritage Hall. As this is also Ash Wednesday parents wishing to attend the meeting will need to attend mass throughout the day with the children.

THINK YOU KNOW- A PRESENTATION FOR PARENTS
St Paul’s will be hosting a ThinkUKnow presentation on Tuesday, 7 March 2017 at 7pm in the school hall, and all parents, carers and teachers are encouraged to attend.
ThinkUKnow Australia is a cyber safety education program that educates parents, carers and teachers of how people are using technology, the challenges they may face online, and how to help them overcome these in a safe and ethical way.
ThinkUKnow Australia is a partnership between the Australian Federal Police, Microsoft Australia, Datacom and the Commonwealth Bank. The program is delivered in collaboration with policing partners New South Wales Police Force, Northern Territory Police, Queensland Police, South Australia Police, Tasmania Police, Western Australia Police, as well as Neighbourhood Watch Australasia.
The presentation will be delivered by a local law enforcement member and an industry volunteer. The presentation covers issues relating to children and young peoples’ privacy and security online, their relationships with other users and their online reputation. It provides insight into the devices young people are using, as well as the popular websites, apps and social networking sites they’re accessing.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to learn more about young people and the online environment, and how you can help them to be safe and responsible users of technology.
PARISH NEWS from the church bulletin…..
Sacrament of Penance Programme
Many thanks to the overwhelming number of people who have been so responsive to the requirements of the programme. There were a few families who expressed difficulty with the workshop times. So because the parish clergy are helpful by nature, a decision has been taken to add another workshop on Tuesdays at 6:30 PM in St Paul ’s parish meeting room to be led by the priests. However, to avoid a stuff-up this workshop will apply from Week 2 onwards. So families are requested to go to their assigned workshop in Week One, and then change to the Tuesday night workshop from Week 2 if necessary. But we need to have an idea of numbers. If you are interested please email the Parish Office by Tuesday, (today).
