The monitoring station, made of wood, fitsperfectly into the landscape. Each station inaddition to detect and transmit a continuous datastream, is able to discriminate thresholds or alarmconditions also directly alerting the indicated staff(and the eventual data center for remote dataanalysis) and allowing immediate and targetedinterventions.

Stations can be easily integrated in networks ormeasuring consortiums, and monitor in this waylarge areas or entire valleys, through the use ofstandard protocols (such as TCP-IP) and variousinterfacing systems, from optical fiber to the GPRSor UMTS, to radio system.

The ST-BOSCO monitoring systems are built andused for the control of climatic parameters thatcharacterize specific areas or environments such asparks, gardens, undergrowth, green areas ingeneral etc.

Are suggested as a preventive measure todetermine the critical environmental issues thatcan favor for example the spread of fires , thecontrol to the assessment of the proliferation ofspecific insects' populations, mushrooms orparasites, harmful to cultures, to humans oranimals, such as ticks or mosquitoes, or as essentialaid to the struggle led by the treatments withplant protection. Useful in public and touristicareas for giving an added value to the environmentwith climatic information of great interest.

Mainly components of a ST-BOSCO system are:

Datalogger NESA TMF100 o TMF500 for the localregistration of all parameters, the basic elaboration, their transfer to a collection center, via cable, fiber,GPRS, UMTS, or radio, by FTP protocol. The operationcan be done continuously or at programmed acquisitionintervals and set alarms up for every parameter. Thedatalogger is equipped with Linux operating system foran easy management and interfacing using special webpages.

SPECIFIC ENVIRONMENTAL SENSOR: can be of differenttypologies depending on parameters to be measuredand on installation requirements, all designed to adiscrete monitoring , precise and functional. Thesystem is extremely versatile able to integrate otherinstruments at any time.

ALARMS: thanks to a evolved datalogger, is possible toinsert algorithms for data analysis that can recognizealarm conditions or abnormal evolutions state, bothon thresholds and on trends, suitable to any specificapplication. The automatic data transfer to a controlcenter or sending SMS to indicated persons, allows atargeted and careful monitoring.

STRUCTURE : The structures and support are made ofwood for a perfect integration in the environmentalcontext (optionally in aluminum or galvanized steel)and designed to accommodate both the standardinstrumentation with the data transmission system andpower supply from small photovoltaic panel.

OTHER SENSORS AND OPTIONAL ACCESSORIESDepending on the application can be integrated othersensors and camera.
