permaculture design course
Join us in learning how to create harmonious human settlements by mimicking nature’s patterns.Acquire the skills to transform spaces in your homes, backyards, neighbourhoods and farms into gardens and forests of food bursting with abundance. Building soil fertility, attracting wildlife and producing healthy organic food are but a few of permaculture’s gifts.
Develop an understanding on how to work with the wisdom of nature to create simple systems, working together to conserve water and energy, reduce waste, regenerate the social and ecological landscape. Be self reliant and save money!
permaculture design course
This course is suitable for all people who want to become practitioners, teachers and consultants in permaculture, also for people who want to integrate permaculture into their work or community. Upon completion, graduates of the course will be able to use the word ‘permaculture’ on a professional basis.
The standard 72 hr course, taught by Greg Knibbs, covers permaculture systems to suit a wide variety of landscapes and climate. The 80% theory, 20% practical course syllabus covers the Permaculture Designers Manual, and its delivery is of international quality.

Sabina Arokiam is the founder of Embun Pagi, and Juergen joined hands in the effort since the last year. Together this duo are pioneering permaculture education in Malaysia, and intend to facilitate its growth in the country and in South East Asia.
Sabina studied Permaculture & Ecovillage Design in Oregon, US. In her travels to Chiang Mai, and US, she visited numerous permaculture initiatives, and was inspired to put what she has learnt into practice here in Malaysia. In 2 years she has managed to set up a flourishing demonstration & education site, and has organised 3 Permaculture Design Certificate Courses and several workshops in Malaysia.
Juergen Soecknick has a background in Biology. He found the missing link in his studies and the challenges of the present time in Permaculture. Since then, he has been traveling to New Zealand, Australia, Thailand and Indonesia where he interned at several permaculture farms and learned under teachers like Joe Polaisher, Geoff Lawton, Chakra Widia and many more. He is focussed on promoting and teaching Permaculture as well as building up Embun Pagi as an education and demonstration site.
