EPFO introduces common form for different types of withdrawal

NEW DELHI, Feb 21:

Subscribers of retirement fundbody EPFO can now withdrawmoney from their PF accountusing one common form and willnot be required to file documentslike marriage invitation cards fortaking advances.

Besides, the Employees'Provident Fund Organization(EPFO) has also done away withthe practice of filing utlisationcertificates for advances takenfrom their PF accounts and cansubmit self-utlisation certificate.

"To add further convenience,these forms (different form forvarious advances and withdr-wals) now have been further sim-plified and replaced with a singlepage Composite Claim Form(Aadhar). This new CompositeClaim Form (Aadhar), can besubmitted without the attestationof employers," EPFO said instatement.

According to the statement,subscribers, who have seededAadhaar and bank accountdetails, to their UniversalAccount Number (UAN) havethe facility to submit claim formsdirectly to the EPFO withoutattestation of the employers bypreferring claims in Forms No 19(UAN), 10C (UAN) & 31(UAN).

It said that for subscribers,who are yet to seed Aadhaar andBank details with their UAN, thenew Composite Claim Form(Non-Aadhar) replaces the exist-ing Forms No 19, 10C & 31.

The new single page compos-ite claim form (Non-Aadhar), canbe submitted with the attestationof employers.

It said that self-certificationreplaces various certificates pre-

scribed at present.The Composite Claim Form

(Aadhar) / Composite ClaimForm (Non-Aadhar) now comeswith self-certification.

Under the Para 68B of theEPF Scheme, the "NewDeclaration Form" required to beappended with Form No 31 forhousing loan/purchase ofsite/house/flat or for construc-tion/addition, alteration in exist-ing house/repayment of housingloan is discontinued.

The requirement of"Utilisation Certificate" has alsobeen dispensed with. No docu-ment would be required to besubmitted by the subscriber inrespect of these partial with-drawals, it said.

Similarly, under Para 68H,for grant of advances in case ofclosure of factories, no documentwould be required to be submit-ted by the subscriber.

Under the Para 68K, for themarriage advance & for availingadvance for post-matriculationeducation of children, no docu-ment, including marriage card,would be required to be submit-ted by the subscribers.

Also under Para 68L, foradvance in abnormal condition,the member may self-certify thathis property has been damaged.No document would be requiredto be submitted by the subscriber.

Submission of CompositeClaim Form (Aadhar) /(Composite Claim form (Non-Aadhar) duly signed by the EPFsubscriber shall be construed as'self-certification' for the saidpartial withdrawals, for which nodocument would be required to besubmitted to the EPFO offices, itsaid. (PTI)
