PRIMERS

CERMIPRIME EP

Two components, solvent-free,epoxy based primer andimpregnation material

DESCRIPTIONTwo components, solvent-free, epoxy based primer and impreg-nation material.

WHERE TO USECERMIPRIME EP is used as an impregnation material and primer for coating on concrete surfaces. It may also be used as coating, repairing or mortar by adding quartz in the mixture. It is used as primer under Epoxy and Polyurethane based coat-ings and may have extended use on concrete surfaces to pre-vent dusting.

APPLICATIONa) Surface Quality•The concrete surface must be clean and robust and have ade-quate compression resistance (not less than 25 N/mm2), with a tensile resistance (pull off) of at least 1,5 N/mm2.•Consequently, the concrete surface for coating must comply with not less than C25 or preferably C30-C35 standard.•The surface must be clean and dry, and freed of all foreign objects such as soil, grease or surface curing materials.•The unstable layer of the surface (layer of grout) must always be removed. (by Shot-Blast, Rota Tiger, etc.)•The surface must absolutely not be surface hardened con-crete.b) Surface Preparation•All concrete surfaces must be prepared to have a clear poros-ity by removing the cement grout using abrasive equipment.•Remove weak concrete and fully expose blowholes and pin-holes. •Before application of the product, remove all dust, loose and detached parts from the surface using a brush and/or a vac-uum cleaner. •Roughness of the surface must be like thin plaster obtained with helicopter landing finish.•Cut and clean cracks in the concrete in V shape, and clean the dilatation joints from particles.•Use CERMIPRIME EP + Quartz mixture for repairing the sur-face, filling blowholes/pinholes, repairing cracks and filling dil-atation joints.

METHOD OF APPLICATION•Mix components A and B at a ratio of 75,5/24,5 by weight and 3/1 by volume, for 3-4 minutes until the mixture is homoge-nous (400 rpm). Apply mixture so prepared by roller for impreg-nation by allowing the concrete to absorb the coating or mix with quartz and apply with trowel on the concrete substrate. If an epoxy or polyurethane coating is to follow, silica sand with 0,200-0,500 mm grain diameter may be spread on CERMI-PRIME EP while it is still wet. •Consult CERMIX Technical Department for details of applica-tion.

CONSUMPTION0,100-0,200 kg/m2 for impregnation depending on concrete quality.0,400-0,600 kg/m2 if mixed with quartz if used as mortar.

WHERE TO USE•Reinforcement applications on concrete for buildings,•Anchorage of prefabricated elements,•Anchorage of fittings, bolts and pins,•Central heating, ventilation etc. pipes applications,•Fixing all kinds of construction materials (concrete, natural stone, hard stone, porous or block bricks, steel, wood, etc.)

APPLICATIONa) Surface Quality•The concrete used for anchorage must be set and be not less than 28 days old.•The hole in which the anchorage element is to be placed must be drilled using a stroke-drill.•The diameter and depth of the hole must be suitable for the size of the anchorage element.b) Surface Preparation•Remove all dust, soil, grease, loose part(s) that may reduce adherence in the drilled hole using wire brush and pressurized air.•After each cleaning step, the hole must be cleaned using a pump and compressor, beginning at the bottom of the hole.

METHOD OF APPLICATION•After inserting static mixer in the cartridge, squeeze with two components cartridge gun until color is homogenous.•Do not use the first part of the material coming out of the mixer.•Fill half of the hole beginning from the bottom and moving upwards and insert the reinforcement into the hole by rotating.•Remove excess material before the setting.•Begin to apply resin at the bottom of the hole and move the cartridge outwards slowly.•Ensure that no air exists inside the hole.•Use an extension piece for deep holes.•Avoid touching and applying force on the reinforcement ele-ment before final setting. •When application is paused, the static mixer may be left on the cartridge after releasing the pressure in the applicator. •A new mixer must be used on the cartridge before beginning to work if the resin in the static mixer is hardened. •Before storing an opened cartridge rotate remove the static mixer and clean the outlet of the cartridge with a clean and dry cloth.

DESCRIPTIONCERMIPROOF PU is a one component, low viscosity polyure-thane based, liquid, water isolation and protecting material. Creates an extremely elastic film curing with the humidity in the air. CERMIPROOF PU adheres strongly on different surfaces and creates a highly elastic and durable film. No need to use additional solvent because the product has minimal quantity of solvent (xylol) in it. The product contains of pure elastomeric hydrophobic polyurethane resin and special inorganic filler. These fillers gives the product perfect chemical, UV, mechanical and thermal resistance. White and gray colors may perfectly be used in outdoor applications.
