INTERNET

I used the internet for all my research. I used

websites like IMDb for finding out the production

companies etc. for each film similar to my own

ideas. I also used search engines to find out

about target audiences, genre, film opening

structures etc. all of this really helped when

deciding on my final idea but also the editing.

CAMERA

For our opening we used a hand held video camera.

We used a personal one which I had at home but we

should of used a school one as they get much better

footage. We learnt this after filming and therefore

had to edit the footage on final cut.

LIVE TYPE

I used many different programs to edit my

footage together. I used live type to make an

idents for the start of our opening. This was new

to me as id never used it before but also a short

brief on the program we created two idents one

called paranormal pictures and the other morgue

productions. These worked really well at the start

of our opening and showed the production

companies.

FINAL CUT

I then used final cut express to edit the footage

together. This was also a new program to me. I

found it easy to use after a while and started to

experiment with the footage. For example I used

the filters to change the colour of some of the

footage I also overlayed them which I think

looked really effective for our genre, horror.

SOUNDTRACK PRO

I also used soundtrack pro to edit together the

backing music for our film. This was yet another

new program to me and I had to play around with

this program before starting our music. I found

this program harder to use as there is a such a

huge range of clips to search through to find the

right ones but also then putting them together

was hard to make it flow easy.
