PROGRAM

We will divide the group into two levels.

1:30 pm. – 2:15 pm

Lecture for Pony club members level E to D1 and/or younger than

12 years old

2:15 pm. – 3:15 pm

Lecture for Pony Club members level D2 and up and/or 12 years &

older.

3:30 pm – 5:30 pm

Hands on assessment of horses for all levels. (Body conditioning

scoring, hay samples, manure evaluation)

Cost for the day: 10 dollars / member

The Cochrane Ag Grounds are located about 20 minutes northwest of Calgary in the Town of Cochrane. The entrance to the arena is located on Hwy 1A - first exit on the right after the highway junction. The arena is to the right on the top of the hill.

Amanda Kroeker

Amanda Kroeker is a Professional Nutritionist for large animals specializing in

Equine, Dairy, and Beef and she is registered with the Alberta Institute of Agrologists.

She attended the University of Guelph and the University of Saskatchewan where she

was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) and Master of Science (MSc)

from the Department of Animal and Poultry Science. Amanda’s area of specialization

is in Equine and Cattle Nutrition, Nutritional Biochemistry, and Rumen and Hindgut

Microbiology.

Amanda has been actively involved in the Equine, Dairy, and Beef industries since

1997. Since completing her MSc, she has contracted her services as a Nutritionist to

various feed companies throughout North America. In 2005, Amanda and her husband

Kim founded ARK Nutrition. Amanda's goal in establishing ARK Nutrition was to build

a nutrition practice that offers nutrition services exclusively to the horse owner and to

the farmer. Amanda's passion for nutrition is evident in her work and in her

commitment to her clients.
