The Equiniti service is very accurate compared to what we used to have. The company is very easy to contact, and we have regular telephone conference calls so we can feed back issues we have at any time. After the bad experience we had previously, this has been a great experience.

One of the ways it achieves this is by outsourcing it payroll function to Equiniti , one of the UK’s leading providers of outsourced payroll services.“The contract we had with our previous supplier was coming to an end,” explains Tim Wyatt, Senior Finance Officer for the Guinness Partnership. “We went through an involved re-tendering process in which Equiniti achieved the best all round scores and evidently suited our needs best. Most organisations within the Partnership went for managed payroll services, but some preferred to retain management themselves and opted for the bureau service – it’s great for us as a Partnership to have that kind of flexibility in the service levels provided by our outsourcer.”
Commenting on the Equiniti solution, Katherine Rudkin, Head of Financial Operations, said, “Equiniti was able to demonstrate a deep understanding of our requirements and to provide the degree of flexibility we need as well as a high level of expertise. We are very confident in Equiniti ‘s ability to meet our specific service level requirements.” The contract provides the Guinness Partnership with both bureau and managed services across 15 different payrolls – 11 managed payrolls, one of which is a weekly payroll, and four bureau payrolls. For both service levels Equiniti takes care of BACS payments, employee payslips, reports, year-end returns, and the implementation of new legislative requirements. The managed service also includes the management of data entry, rigorous checking and validation, the management of statutory payments, online submission of payments into local government pension schemes, and the provision of payroll expertise. The service levels can be flexed in the future should the Guinness Partnership’s requirements change.
