FASTER, SAFER & CLEANER REFUELING

Page 4: EQUIPMENT-FUELING

FASTER REFUELING

• REFUELING RATES OF AROUND 1,000 LITERS PER MINUTE CAN BE ACHIEVED WITHOUT AN INCREASE IN TANK PRESSURE. THIS CAN HALVE YOUR REFUELING TURNAROUND TIMES.

• Often mining equipment will have fuel tanks in excess of 4000 liters. Therefore refueling is the single largest cause of fuel loss in the mining sector. it is also why having fuel tanks is so important in maximizing the operation time for each machine.

• Our goal is to help miners cut service times through safe and efficient high-speed refueling with:

• Zero overflows Zero spillage and Zero pressure on tanks.

Page 5: EQUIPMENT-FUELING

• INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY • With a 2” bore, our nozzles have the highest industry

flow rate capability, reducing refueling times. The choice of 5 shut-off pressure settings allow through faster refueling times flexible solutions to the most complex refueling problems.

• THE BEST INVESTMENT • Our nozzle is repairable, not disposable, they are robust and

last considerably longer in the field and can reduce refueling times. Basically, it costs less in the long run and is built to last.

• SAFESTY • Our nozzles have a proven safety record as our dependable ball

locking mechanism ensures the nozzle cannot ‘fly off’, risking the safety of the refueling operator.

• Our nozzles are designed with the operator of the field task in mind. Our products are easy to carry and maneuver, yet robust and reliable. When refueling at ground level, an automatic cut-off means the BANLAW nozzle is easier to use and the refueling operators don’t risk climbing onto vehicles, thus reducing the chance of worker injury and Compensation

• CLEANER ENVIRONMENT • The automatic cut-off system reduces the risk of fuel

spills during the refuel process. This results in a refueling area free from fuel related safety slip hazards. Fitting over load arms, nozzle holsters and nozzle anchors also eliminates trip hazards from ground stored hoses.

AUTOMATIC TANK OVERFILL PROTECTION

• The overfill protection system provides zero overfill, zero tank pressure and zero spillage during refueling in many applications.

• The automatic overfill protection is available in a number of configurations enabling refueling to take place without tank pressurizing, irrespective of the required flow rates. Rates of 1000 liters/min can be achieved with no increase in tank pressure.

• Linked sensors fitted in the refueling receiver and the fuel tank ensure the when the tank is completely full the fuel flow is terminated without tank pressurization. The overfill protection system removes the guesswork and removes the need for manual checking of tank levels.

• The leak free connection between nozzle and tank ensures zero spillage, and simultaneously prevents any contaminants entering the fuel tank – delivering improved performance outcomes and reduced downtime for each machine.

• Cleaner fuel also means improved filter and injector life, delivering further savings in machine related expenses and increased availability for operational hours for each machine.

BENEFITS OF TANK OVERFILL PROTECTION

• Cleaner, safer & more reliable filling valve arrangement

• Prevents overfilling

• Prevents fuel spillage and wastage

• Removes the risk of tank rupture due to pressure build up during and after filling

• Minimizes the risk of fire as a result of fuel spillage

• Reduces costs associated with fuel wastage and equipment damage

• Significantly improves safety and environmental outcomes

PREVENT UNWANTED DRAINAGE OF FUEL FROM TANK VIA FUEL RECEIVER

CHECK VALVE FUEL RECEIVER

• No need to drain the tank when replacing the receiver.

• Check Valve Fuel Receiver can’t be overridden, eliminating fuel theft via the receiver.

• Intelligent design of the flow path generates low pressure. This prevents the increased risk of premature shut-off of pressure sensitive refueling nozzles.

ELECTRONIC FUEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

• In many countries, fuel is the largest operating cost, in others it is the second highest behind labor. Surprisingly many companies are unable to answer accurately when asked how much of their fuel purchases are actually burned performing it's intended purpose.

• Fuel is an expensive, essential commodity used by the wider community and industry alike. Without proper monitoring and management it can easily become a target for misappropriation.

• Unexplained losses are a thing of the past with our Fuel Management System. Using the latest in Auto ID technology we are able to boast a 99.5% accountability for fuel stock reconciliation. Unlike many competing options, our Fuel Management Systems do not allow "fuel bay confusion" whilst the system confuses multiple vehicles in a busy fuel bay or multiple vehicles fuelling simultaneously. Our system employ patented close-proximity auto ID technology that shuts off the pump once the nozzle and receiver come apart. It also has the ability to interface with most site security systems such as Cardax, HID and Smart keys.

ELECTRONIC FUEL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM(continued)

• FUEL RECONCILIATION • With fuel making up one of the largest operating costs for industry it is imperative

they are able to account for, allocate and reconcile their fuel stocks. The questions you should be able to answer quickly and easily include:

• How much Fuel do you purchase each year? • Do you know exactly where each liter or gallon is used? • What class of vehicles you have - Heavy versus Light? • Contractor versus company vehicles? • Do you know how much, how often and where fuel is spilt? • Can you confirm that your delivery manifest receipts are accurate? • Do you know what portion of your purchases are "unaccountable losses"? • Do you know how many tons of carbon you are producing once your fuel stock is

burnt? •

These are all answers that our Fuel Management System will give you.
