A Technical talk and Interaction Session was arranged for Mechanical students on The Topic-

“EQUIPMENT HANDLING IN INDUSTRIES” by Mr. Sooraj C S, QA/QC Engineer

Technical, Reunidal, Kuwait and also President, KVGCE Alumni Association, Kuwait,

invited as resource person for the function. He briefed about the current material handling

techniques in production and warehouse. All the students and faculties of mechanical

engineering got benefited. The function was witnessed by the presence of H.O.D and staffs of the

department.

A technical talk was arranged for all the students of mechanical and civil engineering department

on the topic “ANCHOR DESIGN AND USAGE IN CONSTRUCTION FIELD” by Mr.

Sudheer Babu G who is a resource person for the function. He shared his knowledge regarding

different types of anchors, its usage in construction field and regarding the new technologies

available at present to the Mechanical and Civil Engineering students. The function was

witnessed by the presence of Principal, H.O.D’S and staffs of the department.

The technical talk was arranged by MEA in Association with Entrepreneur Development Cell for

all the students of the Mechanical Engineering on “CURRENT MARKET SCENARIO OF

FRESHER’S IN THE INDUSTRY”. All the students actively participated in the session. The

resource person Mr. Thungaraju G D was very experienced person and gave a brief knowledge

about opportunities available for mechanical engineers, different skill set required to become a

successful engineer and qualities to become an effective entrepreneur. And the talk was

witnessed by all the staff of the department. Mr. Thungaraju G D was honored with momento by

HOD.

“TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION”

Teacher’s day celebration was arranged for all teaching and non teaching staff of department of

mechanical engineering by the final year students. Our beloved HOD conveyed his regards and

spoke about Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan.The programme ended with a group photo of all

teaching and non teaching staff of department of mechanical engineering. The programme was

witnessed by our beloved HOD, staff and students.

FRESHER’S DAY

“NEOPHYTES”

The fresher’s day function – Neophytes was arranged for the students of 3rd

sem as well as the

inaugural function of the MEA (Mechanical Engineering Association). Mr. Shiva Sandarsh K

B senior manager, SC Performance, Schneider electric India pvt.ltd was the chief guest of

the day. The function was witnessed by the presence of Principal, Dr. N.A Jnanesh, President of

MEA & HOD Dr. Umashankar K.S, MEA Staff Coordinators Mr. Basavanna S, Mr. Pramod

N, Mr. Praveen Kumar K and all the students of the dept. The inaugural function began by

lightning the lamp. The speech of the guest inspired the students, followed by principal and

HOD’s speech. The chief guest was honored with the memento. The toppers of the previous

semester were awarded with the prize. The MEA Bulletin 2017-18 was released during the

function. The Reflection wall is inaugurated where the students talents exhibited for the year

2018-19 .The technical talk was given by the chief guest of the day on the topic “INDUSTRY

4.0”. Lunch was arranged for all the staff and students of the department. Then in the afternoon

the non formal functions held which included songs, dance, and other funny games. Finally the

momento for all the 3rd

sem students was distributed.
