Water Level Correlation Between Wells
Advantages of using this remoting sensing equipment (Tube 300r, Adcon RG1, Level troll 400)• 1. Near real time data to make near real time decisions• 2. Has had a “good” reliability thus far for our specific application• 3. Once the equipment is configured and set it is a hands-off
operation• 4. The Graphical User Interface (GUI) is easy to work with and
interpret• 5. In-Situ has GREAT customer service for setting up the equipment
and all troubleshooting issues
Disadvantages
• 1. We don’t live in a perfect world• Open the hydrovu website• Select data from a few days before June 1st 2019 • Let go of the past (unusable data) and know in your heart it will not happen
again.
• 2. It is preferable to place the tube within an above ground completion, flush mount completions may cause issues.• Sealing the wellhead (j-plug) and having wires come through the plug• Potential antenna issues
• 3. Must have cell service, at least intermittent service.
Utilizing the data
• Understanding the groundwater/precipitation relationship• Using that relationship to optimize vapor extraction removal efforts• Adjusting vacuum levels• Selecting extraction wells to pull from (wells that do not have submerged
screen)
• Aids in the estimation of removal rates• Coupled with vapor samples collected from each extraction well and PID
measurements collected during site visits. • i.e. high water levels “close off” access to karst features and fractures.
