ERM5220R – Equipment Remote ModuleOverview

What is it? RedLINK device for wirelessly connecting an outdoor compressor or indoor boiler to thermostat.

Problem it Solves?Connecting distant pieces of equipment when access to wires is difficult.

How does it work?Condensing Unit: The ERM mirrors the behavior of the contacts on the host device (Thermostat or EIM) using RedLINK technology.Boiler: Message sent to ERM from host device close the TT contacts.

Feature #4 – Wired Sensor Terminals (Works with C7089U1006 sensor)

•Compressor Mode:•Ambient temperature automatically reported back to thermostat.

If wireless temperature sensor is enrolled in the system, the thermostat will ignore the wired outdoor sensor data.

•Boiler Mode:•Works as a backup to sense indoor temperature if the connection with thermostat is lost. ERM will turn on boiler if temperature falls below 55F.

Feature #5 – Familiar Red Link InterfaceDevice enrolls like any other Redlink product -Place host device in pairing mode and press the connect button on the ERM.



NOTE:The “D” Terminal operates as an in puts for defrost. Active input on D will power Aux 1.



Additional Notes:•Only 2 ERMs can be enrolled in a system at one time – one in Boiler mode and one in Compressor mode•ERM is not supported by zone panels•ERM will not support series 20 operation in boiler applications. When configured as a boiler the Y relay shall be off at all times.•For Boiler applications, the thermostat must be placed in “radiant mode”
