FABRIC REQUIREMENTS2 Hope Chest 5-inch Stackers (5-4250-30)11/8 yards (1.05 m) blue blossom (C4252 Blue)15/8 yards (1.5 m) clean white solid (C100-01 Clean White)Binding 5/8 yard (85 cm) Backing 3½ yards (3.25 m)

CUTTING REQUIREMENTSPlease read instructions first before cutting. Seam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting the border pieces.

5-inch StackersAll assorted print 5” squares are used.

Blue BlossomCut 6 strips 5½” x WOF for Border 2.

Clean White SolidCut 8 strips 5” x WOF. Cut the strips into 60 squares 5” x 5”.Cut 5 strips 2½” x WOF for Border 1.

QUILT ASSEMBLYRefer to quilt photo for placement of fabrics.

Hope Chest BlockThese instructions are to make one block. Sew 2 assorted print 5” squares and 2 clean white solid 5” squares together to make a Four-Patch Unit.

Cut the Four-Patch Unit 1½” above and below the vertical and horizontal center seams as shown in the diagram below to create 9 pieces.

Rearrange the 9 pieces and sew them together to create the Hope Chest Blocks. Repeat to create 30 Hope Chest Blocks.

Quilt Center AssemblyRefer to quilt photo for placement of Hope Chest Blocks. Lay out blocks in 6 rows of 5 blocks. Sew rows together to complete the center of the quilt.

BordersSeam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces. Sew border strips together end to end if necessary to get the length needed. Sew side borders first.

Border 1Side borders should be 48½”. Top and bottom borders should be 44½”.

Border 2Side borders should be 52½”. Top and bottom borders should be 54½”.

Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting and back. Bind with your favorite Penny Rose fabric from the Hope Chest Collection. Have fun with your colors and enjoy the journey of making your quilt.
