Land rigs

Drillmec provides land drilling rig packages, which have been operatingsuccessfully in all the major oil producing areas in the world. Takingadvantage from the experience earned with a presence on the marketfrom 1922, Drillmec has a wide range of configurations and different

solutions, according to customer s needs. Drillmec Land rigs are availablein these different mast configurations:

RAPID SERIES SWING LIFT (DM SERIES) DUAL TRAILER (DTR SERIES)

The best design has been constantly evolved by our R&D deptartmentby improving the structure with the introduction of alloy steel aimed toenlighten the structure, reduce the loads, and speed rig-up and downoperations. In addiction it has been emphasized workability andenvironmental protection. The complete series of the Land rigs rangesfrom 1000 to 3000 HP .

Mobile rigs

Drillmec MR series rigs are for drilling and workover operations. Thewhole range can be mounted on trailer or carrier. The drawworks, carrierand mast capacities are matched to provide optimal performance withkeen attention paid to reliability and running costs. The MR rigs are fullymechanically driven, the telescopic mast and the substructure are designedto ensure easy management during rig-up and rig-down operations.These characteristics make this kind of drilling rigs efficient and

transportable units.Our extensive experience with the fabrication of hydraulic top drivesenables Drillmec to supply drilling units with all the advantages ofhydraulic top drive outfitting.The complete series of the MR rigs ranges from 500 to 1000 HP.

Hydraulic drilling rigs

The drilling industry is actively involved in screening new technologies

to solve common problems, such as increasing safety in drilling operationsand minimizing environmental impact. Together with these considerationsrelating to nature and human resources, the industry must also continueto improve drilling performance. The history of the HH rigs saw itsevolution from a simple hydraulic rig for water wells upgraded to oilwell standards in 1990. Later on, a new project developed the basicconcept of this technology and a new drilling rig series began to operatein various oil fields around the world. Today more than hundred of theserigs are successfully operating worldwide.The complete series of the HHrigs ranges from 100 to 350 ton hook load capacity. Fast moving featuresprovide an efficient tool to the drilling contractor enabling him to drillquickly and safely. The flexibility of this design means high rate of

utilization since 90 % of onshore wells are within the range of capabilityof the HH series.

Hydraulic top drives

Drillmec manufactures hydraulic top drives (HTD series) designed tomeet the requirements of highly developed drilling systems. Incompliance with Drillmec s objectives, we focus on fabricating productsto an advanced technical specification and offering the most suitablesupport to our clients.HTD top drives are hydraulically operated, in order to guaranteeadvanced performance and reduced dimensions, which make Drillmectop drives suitable to be fitted to almost any rig in order to increasethe performance and help in operations such as directional orhorizontal drilling. Their extraordinary performance, obtained throughthe know-how we have gained in more than 20 years of job-siteexperience, allows drilling time to be reduced and equipmentproductivity to be increased.Thanks to high quality components and numerous control and testingprocedures, Drillmec has been able to continuously reduce maintenancetime and cost.

Casing make up device

Drillmec hydraulic Top drive can be equipped with casing handleequipment. This device connect properly the threaded elements ofthe drill stem and provide the adequate clamping torque on thethreads. For this purpose this exclusive device is made to screw andunscrew elements having threaded couplings and belonging to adrill stem or to tubes for the inner casing of a drift hole. This deviceis suitable to be used in any drilling rigs comprising a rotating head.The device is manufactured with a special sealing section that seals around thecoupling and allows the circulation immediately trough the top drive. Thisadvantage allows the driller to avoid casing stack and moreover to rotate thecasing in case of need, utilizing the top drive.

Torque wrench

Hydraulic torque wrench is to be used during tripping operation tofast make-up and break-out operations. The hydraulic wrench ismounted underneath the HTD and is equipped with a rotatinghydraulic top clamp, a lower hydraulic clamp and a suspension double

hydraulic jack.

Skidding system

Drillmec manufactures a skidding system to transport the mast,substructure and setback along an in-line well pattern, while the rigis in vertical drilling position.The Skidding system consists on four 200 ton hydraulic lifting jacks,eight 20 ton rig push/pull skidding jacks, four 200 ton hardenedroller assemblies for straight-line motion and with vertical guides,four roller bases to support the rig on the location foundation andsupport for the rollers, one set of substructures modification andsupport material to add to the substructure bottom boxes.The system comes complete with a control console, which includesindependent control valves for jacking and independent control valves

for skidding. Valves are included to control BOP handling equipment.The control console has quick disconnects and hoses aimed to connectthe hydraulic power unit to the rig. The versatility of this controlconsole promotes greater effectiveness of the operator, which enhancesthe productivity of the rig. An electric power unit for rig skidding andBOP handling is also included. A skid mounted power unit withreservoir, pump and hose bracket completes this assembly.

Rotary tables

Drillmec manufactures the Rotary Tables "R Type" Line. Drillmec'sRotary Tables "R Type" are designed to be interchangeable with themost popular rotary table brands. Drillmec's "R Type" rotary tablesare fully conform to API standard and are designed for drilling depthsup to 30,000 ft.

Manifold

Drillmec gained considerable experience in the design and manufactureof manifold systems.The manifold fittings, flanges, hubs, hammer unions, API blocks withour welding capabilities let Drillmec S.p.A. able to control the design,the quality and the scheduling of the manifolds that complete ourrigs, mud pumps and mud systems.Drillmec manifold production ranges from 5.000 to 10.000 P.S.I.
