    Web Dynpro Consultant Learning Specific to ESS/MSS Implementations

    Open/Close Duration: 11.5 hours

    This unit is specifically designed to fill the gap between application and technology for consultants who will be implementing ESS/MSS. Therefore, this unit is designed with the technology specifics that a consultant who is engaging in an ESS/MSS implementation NEEDS TO KNOW in learning Web Dynpro. This unit contains step by step guides designed to be used @ the client site as well as exercises in learning how to configure the front end, back end, client and server for a successful implementation of ESS/MSS.

    At the end of this unit you will be able to:

    Have a complete implementation plan for ESS/MSS Be able to install Netweaver Developers Studio with special focus on Debugging and Debugging ABAP Code Learn the framework for both Web Dynpro and the Floorplan Manager

    The total learning time for learning the technology implementation and its relationship to ESS/MSS is approximately 20 days. However, when you complete this learning you will have a complete step by step process which you can successfully implement for your client.

    HARDWARE PREREQUISITES FOR THIS UNIT ARE:

    The following Hardware is required for a consultants ESS/MSS workstation for both learning and the client implementation:

    Pentium M CPU 1.5 giga hertz to support FPM 2 gigs ram (this will not support the full ESS implementation which includes all countries; it most likely will support the global

    scenarios and perhaps one country such as the US or DE)

    NOTE: If the consultant has NO JAVA SKILLS, it is recommended that the consultant working with the materials in the Learning Map to learn Web Dynpro technology. For the consultants who have Java Skills, you may want to look @ the last document titled "Alternative Approach" which describes the appropriate courses to continue with your technology learning. It is estimated that 20 days of study are required for consultants new to technology. For those who are interested in attending the suggested courses in the "Alternative Approach" 10 days of learning will be involved.
