    Uncertainty: Flawed

Assumptions by UAE Malls0 It is possible to plan a large project good enough that

success is primarily determined by degree of

conformance to plan.0 It is possible to protect against late changes to a large

    system project.

0 It make sense to lock in big project decisions early.

    0All I need is capital.

0 Online projects are cheap and Simple (Yes, if you are

    building your personal website).

PM is Sponsor and Client0 Project is severely undervalued:

0 PM time and effort is free.

0 Expenditure by PM for his activities are not accountedfor.

0 PM under pressure to go for the cheapest not

    necessarily the optimal.

    0

Iterations between vendor selection and Web design.0 PM driven more by passion and it sometimes conflict

    with logic.

0 Back to vendor selection and 200,000 AED to a

    recognized IT firm.

    0Website Approaching completion.

0Sold 10% stake for 100,000AED.0 Online shoppers are not considered as stakeholders.

    Role of Negotiation

0 As a stop gap between building competencies and

    startup.

0 The web development company will run the websitebased on service level agreement (SLA).

0 To quicken the building of Competencies.

0 The online mall is negotiated to built using open source
