How Do I Prepare for Testing?Although preparation is always recommended (and available with this program), you can begin testing immediately in some or all sections above. If you need to study or become familiar with the test, unlimited online study is available from within your “MyAccount” area. This includes resource materials well as optional tutoring service.

What Do I Need to Score On the tests?A score of 63% per subject section. Remember that each test (not study or simulation sessions) must be completed in a single session and you must be proctored during each session.

How Do I Find Out My Test Scores?Test scores can be dynamically monitored from within youraccount area. You will be able to log into your account, view progress, initiate study or test sessions, access resource tools, retake tests, contact support, tutoring and preferences.

Are Retakes of the Tests Allowed? You may retake GED tests to achieve a passing score. We hold the same standards with the HSED. However, with theGED, you must wait 30 days prior to retesting on the ‘same’ test. The FVHS HSED system never oers the same test settwice so there is no waiting period. So without our HSED program you can retake the test as often as you like without any down time!

Why would I want a HSED instead of GED?

83% of those test takers pass their exam on the rst try when they are prepared ahead of time.

62% of testers take the tests for educational reasons & 49% list employment as their goal

How Do I Start?

HSED or “High School Equivalency Diploma” is often pursued byindividuals seeking an alternative to taking the GED or(General Equivalency Diploma) test. One clear reason is the ability to study, prepare and complete the program 100% online. Another is the perceived value of presenting a “High School” based document versus a “GED” document to a potential employer. More information is available online at: wikipedia.org/wiki/HSED

Our program is among the most aordabe options you willnd online. You can get started for as little as $85 and $50 per test section ($285 total), or for $245 if you prefer to payeverything at once and save about 15% on costs.

Is There a Cost for the HSED Test?

The HSED tests are oered 100%online. The enrollment date is entirelyup to you. Simply visit us today atwww.FranklinVirtualSchools.com and click on “enroll now”.

What exactly is an HSED?In a study to determine the labor market consequences for young people of acquiring a GED and a High School Diploma three major consequences of receiving a GED were examined: 1) Labor Force participation 2) Employment Status 3) Wages. The analysis showed that the High school graduate recipients were more likely to be labor force participants than GED recipients. As was observed with labor force participation, thechances of being employed were much greater for young high school graduates than for GED recipients. Interpretation of annual salaries from hourly wages indicated that the typicalGED recipient would have earned about $780 more than a youth without a GED or diploma, but $1,340 less than a youthwith a high school diploma. What is a Proctor?A Proctor, or a procurator, is a person who accepts the task of assuring the student is present and solely completing the test asis dened in the test process. As such, each time you begin a testsession you must have a proctor conrm you are taking the test per the requirements and without unapproved aid or outside assistance (including your proctor). Requirements are on the Proctor Page of your “MyAccount” login page.
