• Now in our country we have many ruins from different peoples like the Romans, Celts ...

• And also we have a Muslim influence.

Spain is a constitutional monarchy, with a king and a

president who are in charge of governing our country.

• The second is Javier Gomez Noya, one of the best triathletes in the world.

• And the third is Fernando Alonso, the best F1 pilot in the history of Spain.

• Mireia Belmonte is one of the best swimmers in Spain.

• Synchronized swimming teams and handball girls also are among the best teams in their respective sports.

• Our basketball team is one of the best in the world and a

lot of our players are now playing in the NBA.

• And finally, as everybody knows, our football team too.

Music and theater • We have some important singers and actors. Singers

like: Enrique Iglesias, Miguel Bose… And actors like: Penolope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Antonio Banderas…

Our region: Galicia

• We live in a region called Galicia, in the northwest of Spain. The total population of Galicia is around 3 million people and the total area is 29.574 km2.

•The Santiago Cathedral is one of the most

important monuments, not only in Galicia

but also in Spain. Each year a lot of people

come here to see it.
