Much has been said about this word, but these words are still not enough I think to maintain our spirit of vigilance and sense of cleanliness. Most of the students I know would simply just walk over a candy wrapper on the ground without even giving a care to pick it up and to throw it on a proper trash bin, worst, almost all of the students I know treats every place in this school as if it is a big dumpsite. They’re throwing candy wrappers, crumpled papers, napkins, etc. almost everywhere with a confident thought that the janitors will take care of it for them. Cleanliness. One simple way of doing your part to help maintain and improve the condition of the school is to keep it clean and organize. Remember, one simple act like picking a candy wrapper, if done by everybody, will be a giant step to cleanliness.

Go Green Campaign. Isn’t it very conducive to learning if your environment is fresh and green with bushes, trees and plants? Another sure way of helping my school is to plant at least one tree per student. According to the environmental protection agencies, planting trees is a must if we want to save and beautify not just our school but our planet. Trees not only remove harmful chemicals from the soil, but also help reduce the greenhouses leading to global warming. Go on and see how planting trees helps the environment. So, start digging immediately if you have the means to plant a tree. There are still too few of them to fully offset the changes brought about by global warming. Automobile traffic, manufacturing and other human activities are playing havoc with our environment. Reduce global warming simply by planting trees for the school and for the environment.

Consereve. Much of the world has become completely reliant on electricity. In fact, without electricity much of the modern-day comforts we enjoy would no longer be possible. Unfortunately, many people overuse or waste electricity, resulting in negative impacts both on the environment and the pocketbook. Saving energy through simple measures, such as turning off lights in unused rooms and turning down your fan if not necessary, can provide the students, administration and the environment with a wide range of benefits. Imagine if we save a portion of budget allotted for the electricity? The budget that we saved could finance another project for the development of our campus.

Lastly, be polite and smile! Your smile and politeness to other people could go a long way on their stressful day. It also develops a harmonious relationship with your classmates,

teachers and other people who are part of the school environment. On my very simple way, I am fully aware that I can do my part as a student to help improve and maintain the wellness of my beloved school.
