A Good teacher Essay
Good Teacher Essay Teachers have the very important responsibility of shaping the lives of
young, impressionable children. With this responsibility comes great pride and joy. Therefore allteachers should strive for what can be considered to be a good teacher. A good teacher can be
defined as someone who always pushes students to want to do their best while at the same timetrying to make learning interesting as well as creative. A positive or negative influence from ateacher early on in life can have a great effect on the life of a child. Teachers, especially at the
elementary level, must be very creative with their teaching styles. Not every child learns the
same way, nor are they interested in the same things. It is difficult to keep the attention of 15-20children under the age of ten. Classroom setup and design is a good way to get and keep the
attention of students. Workstations are a good way to encourage different types of learning. By
allowing children a chance to choose which activities they want to participate in, children are
taking control of their own education. At the elementary level, children are always learning andsometimes even know it. When I was in kindergarten, I can remember playing at the different
stations in the classroom. One station was for gardening and we could plant seeds and check
them every day to see how much they had grown. Another station in that classroom that sticksout in my mind is the arts and crafts station. There was a large array of crayons, markers,scissors, construction paper and building materials we could use to make pretty decorations to
give to our parents for our homes. By choosing which station we wanted to work at, we were
becoming much more interested in what we were learning because we were doing what wewanted to do, not what we had to do. By setting high standards for a student, the teacher is
encouraging the student to do the same and will eventually develop ...

A teacher is the builder of nation. He/she is a prestigious person in the society we have so manyexpectations from a teacher ranging from his role in classroom environment to his role as a
citizen of the country. As a pivotal person in the process ol education, a teacher is supposed to be
performing different tasks.
In the Classroom:
In the classroom a teacher is to ensure the goals of education which can be specified as learning
in terms of predetermined knowledge, skills, and attitudes in specific subjects. It is through thesesubjects that a teacher strives to achieve school goals as well as all-round development ofstudents, which is the broader goal of education. To ensure the all-round development of
students, a teacher has also to organise such co-curricular activities as games, sports, quizzes,
debates, excursion, tours, field trips etc.

There are so many teachers in a school organization. Among them each has the same goal of
education. Teachers have a collective role in the teaching-learning process which is social
activity. For the school to function smoothly we need for a group : of teachers to work inharmony. There must be a constant interaction and close working ethics together which helps
teachers not only in understanding their students and their problems but also in their own
personal growth as teachers. It leads to the development of the attitude of openness' amongstudent.
In the Community:
In rural areas the teacher is looked upon as a leader of the community. He/she is honoured
several times and able to be understood as the best advisor in the community. He is highlyrespected person and a theme of literacy. He/she is responsible for collecting different data like
senses data etc.
As a Citizen:
A teacher is the provider of the model of future generation. A teacher enables the functioning ofdemocracy by participating in democratic processes, acts as on unbiased objective: critic of the
society and is sensitive to events in the country like corruption, scandals, riots, exploitation etc.
which hamper the growth and development of a nation and mobilizes resources to check anti-social and an national activities.
Frankly speaking, a teacher in the society is a friend, philosopher and guide of the students.
