Opening of Masses As you know Archbishop Blair has decided to gradu-ally open Masses in the Churches throughout the Archdiocese of Hartford. Of course, this will be with strict precautions that are mandated to follow! With that being said, the Archdiocese has suggested evening Masses in order to accommodate those who work in a certain location or work from home. As well as daily morning Masses. Social distancing and wearing of masks is of vital importance!! Everyone attending must comply with these reg-ulations!! There can be no more than 100 people in attendance, strictly, and spaced by at least six feet. The pews will indicate where you may sit for Mass.

Mondays at St. Aloysius Morning Mass at 7 a.m. beginning in July

Evening Mass at 5:15 p.m. Tuesdays at St. Aloysius

Morning Mass at 7 a.m. Wednesdays at The Immaculate Conception

Morning Mass at 8:00 p.m. in English Evening Mass at 5:30 p.m. in Polish

Thursdays at The Immaculate Conception Morning Mass at 8 a.m. in English

Hopefully, this new schedule will try to accommo-date everyone’s needs. Please, everyone stay well and healthy. God’s blessings to you.

Adoration of The Blessed Sacrament Exposition of The Blessed Sacrament will re-sume again. The schedule will be as follows: Monday at St. Aloysius 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at The Immaculate Conception Church 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. In order to attend, people must wear a mask. The pews have been disinfected for seating. Of course, we are still observing social distancing by spacing 6 feet apart. Please sit in the pews marked with the little canary yellow “post it”. When you leave, please take the “post it” with you. That will indicate that we have to disinfect the pews and kneelers.

Open Churches Just a reminder that St. Aloysius Church is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is open on Sundays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Im-maculate Conception is open Monday through Thursday, Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Church is not open on Friday. It is open on Sunday from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. You are very welcome to pay a visit to any one of the Churches. God’s blessing’s and graces to you.

Pray For Patience Patience is a wonderful virtue. We should ask God to bestow this virtue upon us, especially during this time of uncertainty. There is a beautiful phrase: “He/she has the patience of a saint!” Another saying goes this way: “He/she has long suffering patience.” I know we are all anxious to get back to the way things were, but that is not going to happen for quite some time. Therefore, we must PRAY FOR PA-TIENCE. For instance, Churches have just opened with strict regulations from the Archdiocese of what to do and what not to do. It takes TIME and a lot of concentration to implement these things so that they are followed correctly. Sometimes I think that many believe that COVID-19 is over...IT IS NOT! We have to take many precautions so that it does not come back with a vengeance in the Fall. That’s what happened in 1918 and it lingered until 1921. Again, PRAY FOR PATIENCE. Confessions will slowly return with many precautions. The work force is not to capacity yet. Many are working on reduced hours until the Archdiocese gives the “green light” to open to full capacity and regular hours. Even that will have precautions for the work-ers as well as for the parishioners who visit the rec-tory office. Please, PRAY FOR PATIENCE.

Fr. Ron

First Holy Communion and Confirmation There have been a number of requests for First Holy Communion and Confirmation for 2020. Unfortunately we were completely set back be-cause of COVID-19. However, as we open SLOWLY we will celebrate First Holy Commun-ion and Confirmation in both, Immaculate Con-ception Church and St. Aloysius Church before the year 2020 ends. It is not going to happen overnight, as there are many restrictions and pre-cautions that have to be taken. There used to be an old song entitle: “Do Nothing Til you Hear From Me”...right...Do Nothing Til You Hear from Me...and you will, once I get everything in place. I understand your anxiety and that of the children, too. Everything will take place this year. Please, I ask you for your kind patience in these matters. We will be in contact with you. Sincerely, Fr. Ron

Fr. Blanchfield Scholarship Because the COVID-19 shutdown occurred before the application deadline, action on the Rev. John P. Blanchfield Memorial Scholarship has been de-layed. The applications for this year’s scholarship will be reviewed by the Parish Council Scholarship Committee in the Fall, when the COVID-19 re-strictions have been lifted. Recipients will be noti-fied after the committee has met and Parish Council approval has been given.

Opening of Sunday Masses When Sunday Masses re-open we will have a com-pletely new schedule for those Masses in both Churches. While it stands to reason, that I cannot offer seven Masses on the weekend. Masses have to be changed to accommodate one priest. Many of our retired priests may feel themselves compro-mised, because of their personal medical issues or they simply don’t wish to venture out during the COVID-19 virus...WHICH HAS NOT COME TO AN END. Priests are only allowed to say three Masses on a weekend by Canon Law. The Archbishop has granted only one more Mass (4) to those priests who have two parishes. Also, because of COVID-19 the Archdiocese has suggested that we gather for Masses in the bigger parish that provides more room for parishioners to attend. Please recall how expensive it is to have a visiting priest. The both parishes simply cannot keep up that expense. The following will be the weekend Mass schedule for Immaculate Conception and St. Aloysius Church: Saturday Vigil Mass This will be the combined 5 p.m. Mass at Immacu-late Conception and the 4 p.m. at St. Aloysius into a 4:30 p.m. at St. Aloysius

Sunday Masses 7:30 a.m. in English at The Immaculate Conception Church. 9:00 a.m. in Polish at The Immaculate Conception Church.

The Combined 10:30 a.m. Mass at The Immaculate Conception Church and the 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Aloysius will be combined into an 11:00 a.m. Mass at St. Aloysius Church. Unfortunately, there will not be a 9 a.m. Sunday Mass at St. Aloysius.

I am very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause anyone. However, this is TEMPORARY as all Masses will have to change in a very short time when all the parishes come together in Southington.

The Sanctuary Candle will burn this week in loving memory of Jackson Palmer
