NOTICESKYPE IN REGISTER OF WILLS’ OFFICE
SKYPE is available in the Register of Wills’ Office for attorneys and their clients when opening an estate. Clients can be sworn in, and sign the Petition for Grant of Letters, as personal representatives of an estate while sitting in the attorney’s office. A client who lives out of state can be sworn in via SKYPE from their home or office while their attorney is in the Register’s Office. SKYPE saves time travelling to the Courthouse from home and the expense of travelling from out of state. Once the personal representative is sworn in, the paperwork can then be filed in the Register’s Office, either in person or by mail, and Letters issued.
SKYPE is offered by appointment and requires the submission of paperwork prior to the appointment and the availability of SKYPE on the user’s computer. For more information on how SKYPE can work for you, please call the Register of Wills’ Office at (570) 825-1672.

DefenderSummary: An Assistant Public Defender (APD) provides
every aspect of legal representation to persons charged with a state crime or delinquent act and who, because of indigence, cannot obtain counsel to represent them.
Duties of APD include trials and court hearings, appeals in state court and Federal/State Habeas proceedings, post-conviction, witness representation and representation in other matters where representation is constitutionally re-quired.
Minimum Qualifications: A member of the Bar, in good standing, of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Persons sitting for the July 2019 bar exam may also apply. (Failure to pass that bar exam will be ground for termination.) In addi-tion, a minimum of two years’ experience in criminal defense work is preferred but its absence is not disqualifying. Appli-cants must also submit a detailed resume, writing sample, list of three professional references and certificate of good stand-ing. COONEY, DECEASED AND PA-TRICIA VARALY that on August 19, 2019, Plaintiff, Pagnotti En-terprises, Inc., commenced an Action to Quiet Title, filed to No. 2019-10349, in the Court of Common Pleas of Luzerne Coun-ty. Plaintiff has set forth that Plaintiff is the owner of certain real property situate in Plains
Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania identified as the “Canal Parcel” in the Complaint filed in this matter.
NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN to MAUREEN RUDNICKI, INDIVIDUALLY, MAUREEN RUD-NICKI, ADMINISTRATRIX OF THE ESTATE OF PATRICK L. COONEY, DECEASED AND PA-TRICIA VARALY that the Court has fixed January 6, 2020, at 9:30 a.m., in the Penn Place Building, 20 North Pennsylvania Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsyl-vania, as the time and place for the Hearing on the Complaint filed in this matter, when and where all parties interested may appear and show cause, if any, why the relief of the Plaintiff should not be granted.
On November 15, 2019, the Court of Common Pleas of Lu-zerne County had ordered service of the Complaint be made by publication. You are hereby re-quested to take action within twenty (20) days after the date of publication. If you fail to plead, judgment may be entered against you and the Plaintiff will be de-creed to be the owner of said real property.
If you wish to defend, you must enter a written appearance personally or by attorney and file your defenses or objections in writing with the court. You are warned that if you fail to do so the case may proceed without you and a judgment may be en-tered against you without further notice for the relief requested by the plaintiff.
