Introduction to SRKSM:
Shri Ramkrishna Seva Mandal works with the motto of ‘Bahujan Hitay Bahujan Sukhay’.
The trust was established in 1954 by a visionary man with extra ordinary administrative
potential, Shri Gordhanbhai S. Patel popularly and respectfully known as ‘Vakil Saheb’. At
the initial stage Shri Ramkrishna Seva Mandal started providing medical facilities to the
residents of surrounding rural areas of Anand without any cost.
Shri Vakil Saheb and Shri Natvarlal Dave (President) thought of educating free citizens of
India through education with this Prime aim the trust started its first college known as Anand
Arts College in1963. Keeping pace with time, the trust established various institutions. At
present, the trust manages 27 institutes right from K.G. to P.G. with 16000 students studying
in the unique campus of the trust.
The Hon. Secretary Mrs. Jyotsnaben K. Patel is a source of inspiration and at present she
manages the entire operations of various institutions with care concern and commitment. All
institutes start with name of Anand e.g. Anand Arts College, Anand college of Education,
Anand Pharmacy College, Anand law College etc. that reflects founder’s love towards the
town. That is the unique feature of the trust.
The executive body of the trust consists of eminent businessmen, Lawyers and experienced
persons in their respective field of work. They all contribute significantly for a noble cause of
qualitative improvement of education.

Secretary’s Message:
Shri Ram Krishna Seva Mandal, a charitable trust established in 1954 works with the motto
of ‘Bahujan Hitay Bahujan Sukhay’ in the fertile land of Charotar, the land of iron man of
India.
Dr. Gordhanbhai Shanabhai Patel popularly known as ‘Vakil Saheb’ , a visionary man with
outstanding academic and administrative potential established Ram Krishna Seva Mandal.
Vision of Late Shri Vakil Saheb is expanded in the form of Anand College Of Education,
Anand in 2003. It is an exclusive professional training institution for men and women that
work with motto of Manifestation of Whole.
Vision without – action is a dream.
Action without – a vision is just a pass time.
But vision with action, can change the world.
Heartily congratulation to Divyeshbhai and his Faculty members for glorious result achieved
in NAAC. Words stated above are seems to be practiced by the Institution. Society and
individuals are becoming aware of the importance of Education. It is a fundamental right of
every child to have an Education. Need of a society for qualitative teachers are always there.
Future of any nation can be seen in the present status of quality of its teacher education
institutions. Role of a teacher is changing through the span of time. Development of
technology and media has changed the role of teacher completely. Anand College of
Education, Anand not only trains quality teachers but also inculcate values of Indian culture.
The goal of the institute ‘Manifestation of Whole’ is a thought of Swami Vivekananda, a
student of Shri Ramkrishna. So in another words, institute works with great thinkers. Institute

not only fulfills the need of quality teachers but also fulfills the need of a individual human
being.
Well maintained and well equipped college provides an ideal environment for all round
development of student teachers. Institute offers latest technological know-how to student
teachers which enable them to keep pace with the changing Educational environment.
Anand College of Education, Anand had completed six successful years. The College has
been achieving excellent performance in examination. It has set new standards of quality and
excellence through its dedication towards teacher training. This shows hard work and team
efforts of the institution. Institution has leaved an impact in Teacher Education within short
time. I wish the Institution grand success and quality in their work.

Words from Principal:
It is really a moment to cheer for me that Anand College of Education, Anand had completed
its NAAC accreditation process during this academic year. I think it had recognized our work
and had given quality mark to our institution. It is time to propose vote of thanks to all
whoever involved in our accreditation towards NAAC. Specially Management, Faculty
members, Practice teaching schools, society and Trainees of this year. Successful
accreditation of seven institutes within one year shows quality of higher education of
SRKSM and reflects vision of Hon. Secretary Smt. Jyotsnamadam towards quality.
Teacher Training colleges are more liable to future of nation. Institute is dedicated to provide
quality teachers. We are proud of our trainees not only because they are good teachers but
they are also good human beings. Institute meets global demand and is adopting new
technologies and changes immediately. Institute is quite unique in terms innovations made. I
personally believe that teacher educators should be responsible for what they are delivering.
Institute offers experiential training programme. Student teachers are put in position where
they are come up with their inherent abilities.
I personally gained lots of experience within short span of this responsibility. I believe that
whatever recognition this Institute had achieved is truly efforts of all individual associated
with this Institute. They all had contributed a lot and I am sure that will give new horizon to
this Institute.

1. Institute at glance: Shri Ram Krishna Seva Mandal has been providing services to Society since 1954 with
Prime motto of ‘Bahujan Hitay Bahujan Sukhay’ . It was established by a great visionary
man with extra ordinary administrative potential, Late. (Dr.) Gordhanbhai S. Patel popularly
known as ‘Vakil Saheb’. Shri Ramkrishna Seva Mandal had started Anand College of
Education, Anand with a view to provide empowered teachers through professional teacher
training.
Anand College of Education, Anand has been preparing challenging teachers capable enough
to adopt innovative practices in class room teaching since 2003. Institute thrust on quality
training which is reflected in results of practical as well as theoretical examinations of past
year. Institute has secured University Gold Medal in Gujarati subject within initial three year
of its establishment in the year 2005-06 and 2008-09.
Institution is working with goal of ‘Manifestation of Whole’ . Goal of institute encourages
us to provide variety of experiences to student teachers. Micro teaching, practice teaching,
blocks teaching, internship and activities provides variety of experiences.
Institute always aims to give something beyond syllabus. In course of this aim, institute
arranges variety of programmes. Prayer session, talk by faculty on Thursday, counseling,
extra micro skills and subject clubs provides variety of extra exposure to student teachers.
Well planned academic schedule is effectively executed. Self discipline, attendance,
involvement in institutional process is highly emphasized.
Institute has established various committees and is working effectively. Feedback is received
under feedback committee from school teachers, school principals, trainees, visitors, guests
and parents. Self evaluation done by trainees as well as faculty members encourages to
monitor quality of own performance.
Infrastructure of institute is airy, spacious and well lighted. Auditorium, Bhaikaka Hall,
classrooms, boy’s room, girl’s room and staff room are well furnished. Laboratories such as
computer, language, psychology, science, mathematics provides platform for experiential
teaching learning process. Institute is also planning to offer SCOPE (A programme of
Government of Gujarat for spoken English) to its student teachers. Institute has library
enriched with variety of books, encyclopedias, magazines and journals. Library has reading
room having capacity of 30.

Goal: Manifestation of whole
Vision: To be a hub of excellence providing values-embedded teacher training.
Mission: � To practice Innovative teaching. � To promote Research and Extension for benefit of society and Education. � To provide experience for whole round development of trainees. � To inculcate heritage, culture and values of Indian Society.
Values: • To inculcate social, cultural, democratic, professional and universal values among
student teacher. • To construct value based society.
Objectives:
• To achieve 100% success rate in the annual examinations, conducted by the university and analyze the results by the Principal and Staff annually in the month of June.
• To understand the grievance of staff, students and parents gennually through grievance redressal cell and to ensure the remedial action as early as possible.
• To ensure publication of college handbook and prospectus through the publication committee.
• To ensure 100% execution of the Faculty development programme planned by the Faculty Development Committee to train the staff to use the innovative teaching methodologies and to update them periodically in the emerging fields and trends.
• To motivate and train the trainees to participate successfully in sports and cultural activities.

4. NAAC Appearance and Result:
In the Year 2003-04, Anand College of Education, Anand (Self financed), put its
tender foot in the field of Education. In the year 2008-09, it has firmly established itself and
delivered 98 B.Ed. trainees in various methods like Mathematics, Science, English, Gujarati,
Sanskrit, Hindi, Commerce, Economics and Social Sciences.
As the goal of the institute indicates, it believes in the qualitative teacher training
programme. Institute voluntary appeared for NAAC Accreditation. As a part of it following
events took place during NAAC process:
1. SSR submitted: 11/08/08
2. Peer Team Visit: 26, 27/08/08
3. Declaration of the Result: 29/01/09
The institution has come out with remarkable result i.e. B Grade with CGPA of 2.45.
The results of the college and University examinations conducted during the year have
ensured the remarkable qualities of teaching-learning process of the institute. The process of
value addition and quality improvement is continuing. Thus the vision and mission set up by
the founder of Ramkrishna Seva Mandal (established on 15th August 1954) and the present
management is getting fulfilled through active participation of students, staff members,
expert academicians and office bearers of the trust.
Volunteer for NAAC appearance was really a great step put up by the Institution in Self
financing Teacher Training Institutes amongst Gujarat State. In fact, this Institute was the
First Institute appearing for NAAC amongst all Self financed Institutes of any discipline
from Sardar Patel University. It was a moment of proud and self evaluation of our work.
NAAC appearance recognized our quality training. It also broadens our vision and provides a
self check of our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. This year will definitely be
remembered by all who are involved in it.

The Institute has a unique prayer session. It lasts for approximately 30 minutes.
