THE ETHEL HERITAGEOur history began two decades ago in 1991 with the birth of our parent company, Mechanix Wear.

The following years saw Mechanix Wear perfect the fit, feel and function of their gloves through continuous innovations in design and the constant development of new materials, thus solidifying their position as the leading performance work glove company in the world.

In 2008, the Mechanix Wear experience translated into Ethel Gloves when the need for high quality work gloves specifically designed for women became apparent. In just three years, Ethel has transformed the women’s work glove market by offering gloves that fit well, provide protection and style.
