Ethics: Held on 26 March
2015, this signature event
was moderated by the
International Caux Initia-
tives for Business (CAUX).
Its Director, Mr. Sarosh J.
Ghandy accompanied by
Mr. Vivek Asrani – M.D. of
Kaymo Fasterner
Company, Mumbai
facilitated the half-day
Round table. Thirty five
captains of industry and
agencies participated in
the discussions that aimed
to crystalize a road map
for making businesses and
policies anchored on
ethics.

played a catalytic role in
the Workshop organized
by KPDNKK in collabora-
tion with the Malaysian
Institute of Integrity to
develop the Code of Ethics
guidelines for businesses.
The Inaugural ASEAN PR
Excellence Awards

Second ASEAN PR
Excellence Awards
2016. BEIM will continue
to collaborate with the
Institute of Public
Relations Malaysia (IPRM)
that plans to host this
event again. The awards
presentation is slatted to
be held in Bangkok this
time around. BEIM will
present the ‘PR Ethics @
Work’ Award.
CIB 6th International
Biennial Conference.
BEIM will be participating
in this Conference
organized by Caux
Initiatives for Business
(CIB) in Panchgani, India.
The theme for the
Conference is Making
Business an Engine of
Sustainable Growth.
Initiatives of Change (IoFC)
Japan is co-hosting the
Conference.
Forum on Ethics for
Contractors. BEIM is
planning to collaborate
with Dewan Bandaraya
Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) to
organize a Forum on Ethics
for Contractors
associated with DBKL. The
aim is to foster a climate of
business ethics among
contractors and to facili-
tate a mutual under-
standing between the con-
tractors and appointing
agencies in their quest to
nurture better business
ethics. The plan is to hold
this Forum before August
2016.
IT Support for BEIM.
Lava Protocols Sdn Bhd will
assist BEIM as part of its
CSR contribution to the
Institute to install the
‘Mailchimp’ software and
provide training to staff
and Directors of BEIM. The
software is to support our
Membership drive for
2016.
Training Opportunities.
BEIM has successfully
developed an effective
Module to meet the train-
ing and development
needs of Members. You are
invited to contact the
Secretariat for more in-
formation. The Training
Modules are designed to
improve the awareness,
knowledge and compe-
tencies towards ensuring
employees
The BEIM Five Petals
Awards. BEIM has with
support from KPMG
Management & Risk
Consulting Sdn Bhd
developed the Guide-
lines and framework for
the Five Petals Awards.
We hope to launch the
Awards at an
appropriate platform
early this year. The five
categories of Award
Certification will further
boost the profile of
Members / Member
Organizations as they
pursue an ethical
reputation in the
marketplace.
BEIM’s Voice in the
Media Space. BEIM will
continue to voice its
stand and uphold all
efforts to raise the
awareness and the
crucial need to ensure
sustainable growth in
business ethics. This will
be done by our
participation in
discussions organized
by the Malaysian Anti-
Corruption Agency
(MACA), The Institute of
Integrity Malaysia (IIM)
and through Letters to
the Editor.
