Ana Kordzaia-Samadashvili Ana Kordzaia-Samadashvili is a Georgianwriter, translator and cultural journalist.She also teaches literature and creativewriting at Ilia State University in Tbilisi.She has won various Georgian literaryprizes. She also translates from Germaninto Georgian and has translated ’ThreeComrades’ by Erich Maria Remarque, ‘TheThief Lord’ by Cornelia Funke and‘Women as Lovers’ by Elfriede Jelinek.She is the author of several novels: ‘Whokilled Chaika’ (2013) and ‘Sons ofShushanik’ (2011) and short stories ‘MeMargarita’ and ‘Berikaoba’. She wasawarded with the literary prize ‘Saba’ in2004 for short stories and in 2013 shewon the Ilia State University prize forbest novel of the year ‘Who killed Chaika’.

Manana Antadze Manana Antadze is a Georgian translatorand the Founder and President ofTumanishvili Theater Foundation. From1981 to 1989, she was a researchassociate at the Centre for ContemporaryLiterary Studies at the Tbilisi StateUniversity. She has been also working asa freelance translator since 1974 and hernumerous translations include WilliamShakespeare's ‘Macbeth’, Irving Stone's‘Lust for Life’, and J. K. Rowling's ‘HarryPotter and the Philosopher's Stone’.
Tikkle Me Tikkle Me is an electronic pop-artcollective formed by FridaHerchenröther (programming/vocals)and Karin Taberman (keyboards) inEskilstuna, Sweden. After some DIYsingles they released their self-titleddebut album in 2010 on the label ‘AWestside Fabrication’. Since then the duohas transformed and grown. Today it's awhole artistic collective with musicians,singers, dancers, photographers, andvideo makers who frequently tourSweden and have performed live showsin Germany, Russia, Belarus andGeorgia. In 2013 Tikkle Me signed withGaphals recordings and in April 2014they released the album "What Is Real".
Green Room Green Room is a duo consisting of BekaJapharidze and Achiko Guledani. Theircollaboration started in 1991 with themusical group ‘Mtsvane Otakhi’. Currently,Green room is working on a new projectwith musician Dato Lomidze. Within theframework of this project, the band hasproduced several singles, which are verypopular in Georgia.
Dj-Keti Lula-Baluba aka LadyDiplomata Dj-Keti Lula-Baluba is a Norwegian DJ. Herstyle is mainly Balkan/gypsy and African,but mostly she’s known for good vibes anddanceable beats. She has beenperforming at different clubs and festivalsaround Norway (club Nomad,Parkteateret/BalkanBeatParty, Blaa,Slottsfjell festival, Øya festival), Sweden(Fasching), Denmark (Stensgade), Serbia(Festival Positive Vibrations, Club LavliDzavli, Kod Silje Belgrad riverboat, Russia(filmfestival) among many others. Sheplays for fun and loves a good party.
Giga Zedania Giga Zedania is a Georgian philosopher,professor and the Rector at Ilia StateUniversity. He studied philosophy, socialstudies and medieval studies in Georgia,the United States and several EuropeanUniversities. He is the author of manypublications in the areas of the history ofphilosophy, social and political theory,European literature and cultural history.

Oliver Poole Oliver Poole is a British Pianist and com-poser. His musical life started at an earlyage when he became the youngest win-ner of the EPTA trophy (as the most prom-ising young pianist in Europe) aged seven,reclaiming the title again the followingyear. He first performed with the NationalYouth Orchestra at eight-years-old, be-came the subject of numerous press fea-tures and live broadcasts at age fifteen,toured Siberia and founded the Britishregistered charity Siberian Appeal at sev-enteen and has since performed at venuesand festivals.
Tamar Subeliani Tamar Subeliani Tamar Subeliani is aGeorgian translator. She has translatedAndrew Kaufman’s, ‘All my friends aresuperheroes’, Haruki Murakami’s, ‘Kafkaon the shore’, John Green’s, ‘The fault inour stars’ and Sally Green's "half bad".

The workshop will offer earlycareer and experiencedtranslators the opportunity towork together and discuss indepth the challenges oftranslating from German intoGeorgian.
The Literary Translation Workshop will beled by Professor Aleksandre Kartozia(Berlin).
The main aim of the workshop is to discoverand encourage new talents for literarytranslation into Georgian and to contributeto the further professionalization of literarytranslation in Georgia. Early careertranslators will have the opportunity todiscuss their work with experiencedcolleagues. In the framework of theworkshop participants will also exchangeon literary translation as a profession andrelated issues like rates, working conditions,communication with publishers andfunding opportunities.
The workshop is open for 8 participantswhose native language is Georgian.
