EU Culture Factory Week Speakers: Tinatin Tinatin is a Georgian vocalist, songwriter, author and radio personality. She recognizes herself as an indie performer. The style of her music is a mix of Indie Pop and electronic music. She is the author of more than ten songs. EU Culture week Week Speakers: Ana Kordzaia-Samadashvili Ana Kordzaia-Samadashvili is a Georgian writer, translator and cultural journalist. She also teaches literature and creative writing at Ilia State University in Tbilisi. She has won various Georgian literary prizes. She also translates from German into Georgian and has translated ’Three Comrades’ by Erich Maria Remarque, ‘The Thief Lord’ by Cornelia Funke and ‘Women as Lovers’ by Elfriede Jelinek. She is the author of several novels: ‘Who killed Chaika’ (2013) and ‘Sons of Shushanik’ (2011) and short stories ‘Me Margarita’ and ‘Berikaoba’. She was awarded with the literary prize ‘Saba’ in 2004 for short stories and in 2013 she won the Ilia State University prize for best novel of the year ‘Who killed Chaika’. Manana Antadze Manana Antadze is a Georgian translator and the Founder and President of Tumanishvili Theater Foundation. From 1981 to 1989, she was a research associate at the Centre for Contemporary Literary Studies at the Tbilisi State University. She has been also working as a freelance translator since 1974 and her numerous translations include William Shakespeare's ‘Macbeth’, Irving Stone's ‘Lust for Life’, and J. K. Rowling's ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone’. Tikkle Me Tikkle Me is an electronic pop-art collective formed by Frida Herchenröther (programming/vocals) and Karin Taberman (keyboards) in Eskilstuna, Sweden. After some DIY singles they released their self-titled debut album in 2010 on the label ‘A Westside Fabrication’. Since then the duo has transformed and grown. Today it's a whole artistic collective with musicians, singers, dancers, photographers, and video makers who frequently tour Sweden and have performed live shows in Germany, Russia, Belarus and Georgia. In 2013 Tikkle Me signed with Gaphals recordings and in April 2014 they released the album "What Is Real". Green Room Green Room is a duo consisting of Beka Japharidze and Achiko Guledani. Their collaboration started in 1991 with the musical group ‘Mtsvane Otakhi’. Currently, Green room is working on a new project with musician Dato Lomidze. Within the framework of this project, the band has produced several singles, which are very popular in Georgia. Dj-Keti Lula-Baluba aka Lady Diplomata Dj-Keti Lula-Baluba is a Norwegian DJ. Her style is mainly Balkan/gypsy and African, but mostly she’s known for good vibes and danceable beats. She has been performing at different clubs and festivals around Norway (club Nomad, Parkteateret/BalkanBeatParty, Blaa, Slottsell festival, Øya festival), Sweden (Fasching), Denmark (Stensgade), Serbia (Festival Positive Vibrations, Club Lavli Dzavli, Kod Silje Belgrad riverboat, Russia (filmfestival) among many others. She plays for fun and loves a good party. Giga Zedania Giga Zedania is a Georgian philosopher, professor and the Rector at Ilia State University. He studied philosophy, social studies and medieval studies in Georgia, the United States and several European Universities. He is the author of many publications in the areas of the history of philosophy, social and political theory, European literature and cultural history. His musical life started at an early age when he became the youngest win- ner of the EPTA trophy (as the most prom- ising young pianist in Europe) aged seven, reclaiming the title again the following year. He first performed with the National Youth Orchestra at eight-years-old, be- came the subject of numerous press fea- tures and live broadcasts at age fifteen, toured Siberia and founded the British registered charity Siberian Appeal at sev- enteen and has since performed at venues and festivals. The workshop will offer earlycareer and experiencedtranslators the opportunity towork together and discuss indepth the challenges oftranslating from German intoGeorgian.

The Literary Translation Workshop will beled by Professor Aleksandre Kartozia(Berlin).

The main aim of the workshop is to discoverand encourage new talents for literarytranslation into Georgian and to contributeto the further professionalization of literarytranslation in Georgia. Early careertranslators will have the opportunity todiscuss their work with experiencedcolleagues. In the framework of theworkshop participants will also exchangeon literary translation as a profession andrelated issues like rates, working conditions,communication with publishers andfunding opportunities.

The workshop is open for 8 participantswhose native language is Georgian.
