Rate of women entrepreneurs within all entrepreneurs in Turkey is 12.5%

Women employment in Denizli is approximately 50% in the textile sector which is the leading sector and impulsive force of the city

What we have done

We have realised “Women Entrepreneur Profile Survey”

Total participation to the survey: 120 people

• % 43 of the total participants are between the ages 30 and 40

• % 11 of the participants are company owners, % 11 is working for family companies and % 52 is working full-time and waged

• % 52 has thought to set up their own business18/29


• % 83 has a business idea which can be succesful in the market

• % 48 doesn’t have enough capital to set up a business

brings a new dimension to solving the problems about women entrepreneurship

gathers together all sides of the problem with the original structure “Committee”

solves the defects realistically

executes a networking and a functional and dynamic training programme suitable to the market needs

Active effort for supporting and developing women and youth employment and entrepreneurship” target is determined within the DCI strategic plan

DCI has another EU Project within the context of Active Labour Market Measures

These two projects will serve to the purpose of women being a part of the economic life

The coordination of both projects by DCI will create a real synergy and an institutional capacity about women employment and entrepreneurship
