overview //Inaugurated in 2005, the Eurekahedge Asian Hedge Fund Awards is an annual celebration of the great and

the good in the Asian hedge fund space.

With over 300 hedge fund industry players attending every year, this prestigious event has become an

important fixture on the hedge fund calendar.

Last years event was an overwhelming success with leading figures in the alternative investment industry

coming together in Singapore. Although markets conditions remained volatile in 2010, especially during thefirst half, Asian hedge funds continued to deliver consistent risk adjusted performance and also attracted

significant capital in the second half of the year.

Nominees for the Eurekahedge Asian Hedge Fund Awards are selected through voting by an independentpanel of judges, from a working list of funds reporting to the Eurekahedge databases. All Asian hedge fundslisted with Eurekahedge and operating as at the end of March 2011 are eligible for nomination. A masterfile of all eligible funds for each of the award categories (according to their regional/strategic mandates)will be compiled and circulated among the judges to facilitate nomination for the awards (note:consequently, it is not unlikely that the same fund would be nominated for multiple awards).

Once the votes are collated and the list of nominees finalised, the winners are selected by the panel ofjudges, weighing in on both quantitative and qualitative aspects of the funds in question. The quantitativediscussion, while mainly based on 2010 performance, also evaluates 1Q2011 risk/return metrics, on groundsof consistency in fund performance.

The selection of nominees and winners is entirely under the remit of the panel of judges, and the role of

Eurekahedge in this endeavour is limited to supplying data and moderating the discussion.
