Causes for declining interest in scientific studies and careers:– Salaries and career not sufficiently appealing (52%; EU15 43%)
– Science classes at school not sufficiently appealing (52%; EU15 60%)
– Scientific subjects are too difficult (45%; EU15: 55%)
– Young people less interested in scientific subjects (42%; EU15: 50%) «The authorities should try to resolve this situation»
