Being successful in a globalising world demands a genuine understanding of di erent legal as well as business habits, cultures, languages and the laws of a given region. Europe is as diverse in its legal systems as it is in its various languages. However, a unifying element increasingly bridges the gap between di erent approaches and legal traditions – the law of the European Union.

EBS Law Summer is suited to all levels of expertise in EU Law. The course begins with an intensive, one-week introductory course on the law of the European Union (4 ECTS) to provide students with the necessary foundations for the programme. Students may then choose from 6 different electives, each dealing with more detailed questions of European Business and Commercial Law.

The electives are complemented by corresponding site visits (e.g. European Central Bank, European Court of Justice, European Parliament) and each is assessed by written examination. Students without previous knowledge of EU Law can delve into the topic during a relatively short period, whereas students having studied some basics of European Law can deepen their knowledge in the specifi c electives.

CERTIFICATE Upon successful completion of the programme, participants are awarded an EBS Law Summer certifi cate. This details the fi nal grade, credits earned and the course content, including all contact hours. Please note that as credit transfer is carried out by the EBS partner institution, students are advised to contact their study abroad advisor.
