Indian Ocean Tsunami, 2004/2005 (clearing house)

Flooding in Algeria, 2006 (mil. transport)

Haiti earthquake 2009 immediately EUR 400 earmarked for humanitarian assistance,

reconstruction and longer-term development; info sharing/coordination cell at EU level on some 1600 troops

deployed by EU Member States; European Gendarmerie Force of 300 personnel carrying EU

insignia, placed under UN command within MINUSTAH
