Administrative:

Behavioral - Island - The district has purchased many SmartBoards, but most
seem to be used as a projection screen or pushed into a corner and never used.
There is no requirement for educators to use the technology in the classroom.
Resource/Infrastructure - Intelligent - headquarters is always looking for
technology to purchase so that it can be implemented.

years.
Resource/Infrastructure: Island - A plan is in place to by the district and DC for
technology, but the implementation is left to the school.
Budget

for the maintenance of the equipment.

the Air Force from the DOD; the Air Force then decides DODDS portion from
there.

attendance, grades, and parent contact information, but there are 3 different

teachers use services such as QUIA out of their own pockets. Resource/Infrastructure: Islands - Standardized assessments such as the

Conclusion
Jetti High School in my opinion based on this Evaluation would have to be ranked asisland on the Maturity Model benchmark. Technology is available to use, but therethere is little training for the educators in their use. The school climate is open to theintroduction of newer technologies, but lacks the follow through by the localadministration and district. Some of us teachers have tried to take the initiative to bringinto our classrooms technology for students to use, but have run into barriers along theway. I have tried to initiate in my classroom some of the technologies discussed in thiscourse, but most have been blocked by administration in Washington DC.
