Target audience in terms of age, social class, gender, ethnicity and psychographic profile.

The target audience for my music magazine, in terms of age, would consist mainly of teenagers and young adults (ages 14-25 years old). This is because the rock and indie genres favour these age groups. However, this does not exclude other ages (either below or above these target ages) as rock music and indie music reaches all age groups.

The target audience for my music magazine, in terms of social class, is mainly middle class. However, it reaches the working class too- who are also interested in rock and indie music- therefore my magazine could appeal to both classes.

The target audience for my magazine consists of both genders. My front cover, contents page and double page spread include mainly male artists- therefore other males will idolise them, and females could potentially be attracted to them. Also, the rock and indie genres reach both genders so females and males would want to find out exclusive information.

The target audience for my music magazine, in terms of ethnicity would mainly be white British as all of the artists used in my magazine are white. The rock and indie genre attracts mainly white people- however this does not exclude other ethnicities from my target audience- as all ethnicities could be attracted to this genre of music.
