How to evaluate?

1. Find the topicBrainstorm a list of possible topics that may include

• Movies -

• Topics from your major – procedures, research, theories

• Literature – short story, novel

• Policies /laws– college attendance, immigration, plagiarism policies, healthcare reform, etc…

Once a topic is chosen, brainstorm and list details about the topic

Overall purpose of essay and set your judgment

It should argue both sides of the topic based on the criteria that you set but it should be clearly evident if the topic or object meets the criteria or if it fails to meet the criteria
