    Crisis-context: A call for fresh worl outloo!

    .he causes o$ global /arming are multiple and ho/e0er the present paper does not

    attempt to sur0ey on the scienti$ic and technocratic rationale $or global /arming"

    only aim at the philosophical $oundations that continue to en$orce an undue relation

    o0er nature and thereby augment $or an alternate outloo that is ecologically

    sustainable" hold that many o$ our philosophical traditions both the *uropean and

    the ndian, are not su$$iciently ecosophical, hence the ecological de0astation is only

    an e$$ect o$ the primary cause that is our /orld outloos that shape our relation /ith

    nature" .he causal connection or the in0ariable relation bet/een our /orld outloos

    and global /arming hence /ill be established in this paper as to $oster the necessary

    ethical relation /ith nature to a0ert en0ironmental crisis such as global /arming"

    e=isting /orld outloos, cultural paradigms, scientic and technological ad0ances are

    inadeCuate to deal /ith this ecological catastrophe" Eur /orld0ie/s and 0alues,

    perceptions, scienti$ic no/-ho/s, permitted us to establish an e=ploitati0e relation /ith

    nature B en0ironment and there by disabling the li$e o$ ecosystem resulting in the increase

    o$ global /arming" Global /arming does not ha0e any national or cultural or social

    boundaries" ts destruction spells on the entire biospheric li$e-systems" Such a crisis-

    situation calls into Cuestion our mode o$ adaptationBrelation to the natural /orld"

    n our concern about global /arming, belie0e, /e are $undamentally in0ol0ed in

    seeing a /orld0ie/&s' /hose ethical $oundations ought to be deeply ecosophical than

    merely human-logical" We need to understand that the androcentric, anthropocentric,

    e0en god-centric and positi0ist-technocratic /orld0ie/s or paradigms are ethically

    incapable o$ responding to en0ironmental crisis and that they lac ecological ethics" .his

    means that /e need to be non-human centric &non-anthropocentric' and non-androcentric,

    non-positi0istic, and non-technocratic, in our perceptions and attitudes to li$e by /ay o$

    critically re-looing into our e=isting 0alue-systems be that o$ secular or unsecular" We

    need to transit $rom our established patterns o$ rationalities and actualities to/ards a deep

    ecological /ays o$ li0ing" We need to shi$t $rom the notion o$ instrumental 0alue and

    e=trinsic 0alue &0alue $or others' to the notion o$ intrinsic 0alue o$ natureBen0ironment"

    $he Ethic of Ecology & A Human Response-ability

    morality human has to shi$t $rom anthropocentric and androcentric attitude to/ards

    biocentric re0ie/s by considering nature in its o/n /orth ha0ing intrinsic 0alue" .he

    Cuestion o$ economic de0elopment in terms o$ hegemonic monolithic maret economy

    has to be e=changed $or the realiIation o$ community-based economics in0ested /ith the

    idea o$ ecosystems sustainabilityJ the pro$it dri0en technologies, addiction to $ossil $uels,

    mono-cultural and consumerist tendencies has to be eroded and the practice o$

    appropriate so$t technologies, reliance on rene/ables that restore ecosystems need to be

    replaced"M

    .he ethics o$ ecology is basically a human response-ability to deconstruct our dubious

    cultural and metaphysical and moral constructs by replacing it /ith ecological

    sensibilities" t is to become conscious o$ our dubious moral $oundations and

    practices because humans are specially endo/ed /ith a special sense o$

    consciousness and re$lecti0ity o$ hisBher en0ironment" t is an attempt to e=pose and

    deny the logic and practices o$ domination and inAustice &sin$ulness' that is

    inherently $ibered in our /ays o$ thining and social li$e, thus it is a Cuestion

    socialBcosmic Austice" .he destruction o$ ature and the practice o$ the $orms o$

    cultural domination are interrelated" Hence response to global /arming is by its

    inclusion a reAection o$ the modes o$ cultural dominations" ealiIation that humans

    are ecologically conditioned compels the reorientation that /e ought not to be
