Proceeds from sponsorships and the event’s silent and live auctions will support the purchase of a wheelchair accessible van for residents at Fort Sanders Sevier Nursing Home, as well as prescription medications for patients of Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic. Dr. Robin Huskey of Well Key Urgent Care spoke to the audience about the need for the van, sharing a touching personal family experience. is new transportation option will make it possible for nursing home residents and their caregivers to easily travel to medical appointments and enrichment activities. The Foundation is so grateful for the continued support of our community, including Sevier County Mayor Larry Waters and Sevierville Mayor Bryan Atchley. Chef Chris Walters who currently serves as Executive Chef at the Columbus Georgia Convention & Trade Center, returned to Sevierville especially for the Evening of Elegance. Linda Ogle greeted him with big smiles. Jenny Chance, a member of the event planning committee, and her husband, Ralph LeConte Medical Center Chief of Staff Dr. Cliff Cole and his wife, Colleen, join Shannon and Guy Brown as they wait for the delicious dinner to be served. Charlie Johnson and Sharon Dobbins enjoy the beautiful patio at Sevierville Events Center with Physician Assistant Sheryl Hill and her husband, Brian. Dr. Kristin Reilly and her husband, Danny, checked out the silent auction items with Candace Wedlock, LeConte Comprehensive Breast Center supervisor, and her husband, Ian, a Gatlinburg firefighter. The eve- ning’s theme, “A Mountain Awakening,” paid tribute to all those like Ian who have helped in the post-fire recovery efforts. Our beloved Lorraine Hendricks, a former event chair and board member who has attended every Evening of Elegance event to date, was joined by her friend Susan French for the event. The board of the Dr. Robert F. Thomas Foundation salutes the businesses, volunteers and community leaders who generously supported our 28th annual Evening of Elegance fund raiser. Thank you for your contributions to improve the health of our friends and neighbors across Sevier County!
