EVENTS 1. WHO Expert Committee Meeting: A meeting has been convened on 11th -12th April 2011 at Conference Hall, National Institute of Indian Medical Heritage, CCRAS, Hyderabad under the Chairmanship of Dr. Ala Narayana, Director, NIIMH, Hyderabad to review and finalize the document entitled “Document on Evidence Based Ayurvedic Remedies/Therapies Based on Research Work Done for General Practitioners” of WHO Collaborative Project. 2. Visit of Prof. Vijay Sherry Chand, IIM, Ahmadabad: Prof. Vijay Sherry Chand, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad visited the institute for a Case study on 1-2nd June, 2011. Dr. A. Narayana, Director, National Institute of Indian Medical Heritage (NIIMH) has appraised the activities and achievements since inception and future plans/ programmes of the Institute, which were appreciated by Prof. Chand. Prof. Vijay has advised to seek technical support from Archaeological Survey of India for preservation of replica of inscriptions of medical relevance. Prof. Vijay also advised to procure protocols from KAMA Institute, Mumbai and Museums of Germany/ UK, for maintenance of the museum, rare books. Prof. Vijay Sherry Chand addressed the staff meeting and gave his valuable suggestion and insisted to plan the future Programme as per the mandate of the Institute with a commitment & focus on medical Heritage on AYUSH systems. Prof. Vijay also reiterated that all projects should be considered, planned, monitored, evaluated in terms of Vision, Mission and Goals. Prof. Vijay also suggested that the Institute should try to collaborate/ take co-operation from other disciplines and bring the awareness among public, researchers, students through workshops, publications, multimedia about the AYUSH Heritage keeping in view the National and global scenario. Organizing of Bharath Nirman-Public Information campaigns: National Institute of Indian Medical Heritage, Hyderabad has participated in the campaigns, to create the awareness among the public from all walks of life, to opt their choice to utilize the services of health delivery systems of Govt. of India, particularly AYUSH systems. The Institute has participated in the exhibition in the following segments on the Activities & Achievements of the Institute, delivered lectures on Basic Concepts 335

EVENTS1. WHO Expert Committee Meeting:

2. Visit of Prof. Vijay Sherry Chand, IIM, Ahmadabad:Prof. Vijay Sherry Chand, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad visited the

institute for a Case study on 1-2nd June, 2011. Dr. A. Participation in SIKITEX-2011:The National Institute of Indian Medical Heritage, Hyderabad has participated in the

SIKITEX-2011, Sikkim’s IT Exhibition & Conference held on 24th & 25th November2011 at Chintan Bhawan, Gangtok, Sikkim and presented the unique features AYUSHResearch Portal. Different IT-related companies/Institutes across the country haveparticipated by displaying their products/ achievements in about 50 stalls of the exhibition.
