CateringWe offer a range of catering options and we use carefully selectedlocal suppliers to ensure our food is of the highest quality. We willwork with you to ensure the catering for your event, no matter howlarge or small, meets your budget and the requirements of you,your clients and your guests.

We want your event to be remembered as much for yourhospitality as for your company!

Café bar The Northern Ballet café bar is open 6 days a week and byarrangement on Sundays.

With coffee provided by Starbucks, the café offers a deliciousmenu of hot and cold food and our fully licensed bar is the perfect pre-performance watering hole.

The Board Suite has been designed to accommodate up to 24guests seated around a central table making it a perfect settingfor meetings, training days and partnership events.

A rooftop terrace complements the Board Suite making it an idealsetting for private functions including drinks receptions andformal dinners and during the day allows natural light to flood intothe room. Our ‘black swan’ wallpaper promises to be a talkingpoint for your guests.

The Board Suite can be split into two for a more intimate space, ithas excellent IT facilities and can comfortably accommodatecatering inside the room or in the reception space immediatelyoutside of the room.

We can offer a range of catering options and we use carefullyselected local suppliers to ensure our food is of the highest quality.We will work with you to ensure the catering for your event, nomatter how large or small, meets your budget and therequirements of you, your clients and your guests.

Our ground floor 230-seat Studio Theatre is an exceptionalvenue for conferences and performances.

It is a flexible space with retractable seating and can bedivided into two smaller but still sizeable studio spaces,perfect for the smaller conference or the more intimatelecture or recital. Fully-opened the Studio Theatre is thelargest dance studio in Europe.

Large windows run the length of the room and allow naturallight to flood in during the day as well as providing glimpsesof the activities inside for passers by. For extra inspirationetched into the glass is a stunning zoetrope of images ofdancers created by artist Joe Fairfax and a viewing galleryallows visitors to watch the action. The space also has black-out blinds if required meaning any lighting effects won’t belost and privacy is guaranteed.

Dance classes and energisersA dancer’s day always begins with a warm-up, physicallyand mentally preparing the body and the mind for thedemands of the day ahead. Many companies encouragestaff to take part in physical activity prior to commencingwork to motivate and improve productivity.

So why not enhance your experience at Northern Balletwith a dance class or energiser?

Dance classes for employees, partners or managementteams can be designed for an individual organisation’sneeds, developing skills such as cooperation and teamwork,communication, problem solving and creative thinking.

A Northern Ballet energiser is a gentle exercise routinethat can take place from your seat and will accommodateall delegates. It takes 10 minutes and is a fun way toengage and motivate a large group of people during aconference day.

The dance class or energiser is delivered by a member ofNorthern Ballet’s experienced Learning team. Thesessions are charged in addition to room hire andcatering charges.

It is also possible to add talks from our technical andwardrobe departments to your day and when the Companyis home, observing Northern Ballet in class or rehearsal isan unforgettable experience. Additional fees may apply.

Team building daySpending a day with Northern Ballet will inspire creativityand provide you and your team with a day to remember.

Take a glimpse into life behind-the-scenes at a world-class touring ballet company and learn from NorthernBallet’s unique approach to the creativity, passion andteamwork required to develop a new production, tomanage a successful tour and to achieve a successfulWorld Première.

Through enjoyable yet challenging activities, participantswill learn skills that can be transferred into their workingenvironments and everyday lives such as co-operationand teamwork, nonverbal and physical communication(body language), creative thinking, problem solving andconfidence building.

A team building day might include a light breakfast, toursof Northern Ballet, an energiser session and/or danceworkshop, a chance to work on a creative task set byNorthern Ballet’s artistic team as well as a trainingsession delivered by a recognised business trainingprovider. Day delegate rates are based on 20-25 staff andinclude lunch and refreshments.
