It is housed in the fully restored 18th century Café Royal function suites, which have been transformed into an elegant yet eclectic venue suitable for live music, private functions, corporate events, drinking, dining & more. The bar and events spaces are amongst the most unique and handsome in the city. Original features include the impressive cornicing, ceilings, wood panelling and large arched traditional windows in the main bar, dining room which have been enhanced with tasteful new additions, all furnished in our own distinctive, luxurious gold and black colour scheme. We have six rooms of various sizes which include three self- contained event spaces, and these can be configured to suit your event requirements. We have attached sample set and canapes menus in addition to other general useful information. Please note that we are an over 18 only venue. he main bar runs the full length of the room and it provides an extraordinary showcase for our

award-winning bartenders to display their skills under the magnificent and fully restored ornate ceilings, finished in black and gold.

The Main Bar offers delicious dining and extensive drinks options. although famed for cocktails, there are also over 60 Tequilas and 60 Rums to discover. Music is a vital component and our playlists are famed far and wide, with a selection of Edinburgh’s finest DJs playing in the main bar on weekend evenings. The main bar is always open to the public and is not available for hire, although guests at events are welcome to use it.

Do you have a table booked for drinks? Purchase a bottle of our recommended spirits and we will supply the equipment, ice, accompaniments and know-how to let you make lots of classy classic cocktails! We offer a reservation service for groups of two up to forty people.

he Ballroom is the largest space within The Voodoo Rooms. The adjoining bar and its own

toilets make it a perfect self contained, very flexible event space.The room can seat around 60 people cabaret style, 110 theatre style or 180 - 200 standing. The Ballroom has a built-in stage, with optional extensions and an unobtrusive DJ/tech booth. It’s great for a private event or dinner, or it can be utilised as a corporate space to hold meetings or conferences (breakout rooms are available), with a top of the range public address and projection system.

he Speakeasy is a self sufficient hidden gem with-in The Voodoo Rooms and is perfect for intimate

gigs, private meetings or functions. It can operate separately from the rest of the venue or as an adjunct to a larger event.The room is fully equipped with a stage, projection system, Pa system and DJ equipment. It has been used for corporate meetings & presentations, parties, weddings, concerts, comedy & more. It’s a classy spot for a party. The custom made Johnny Walker Fussball table (Black & Gold, of course) often proves a popular distraction at events although this can be covered if required. Our full drinks list is available at this bar, and available food options are buffet style or canapés.

he French Quarter is our newest events space. In association with Southern Comfort we present

a fitting tribute to New Orlean’s finest. as well as a nicely laid out, well lit seating area and well-stocked bar, there is a dazzling dance floor and DJ booth/equipment.

The French Quarter is located just off the main entrance stairwell (en route to The Speakeasy) and is available seven days a week for private hire.

his rate card covers our main function spaces. If your event requires the use of other areas such

as The American Bar, Restaurant, or multiple areas please enquire with our events team. PEAK TIMES: Friday and Saturday nights from 5.30pm - 1am OFF PEAK TIMES: Sunday to Thursday from 5.30pm - 1am STANDARD DAY RATE: applies from 10am - 5pm everyday

Film and Photo shoots can be undertaken between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Thursday. Our standard charge is £150 for a film shoot and £50 for a photography shoot. additional charges may apply depending upon technicians, use of lighting, projection, sound equipment etc. Please advise at the time of enquiry of expected numbers (cast and crew) and catering required.

When making a booking we request a deposit which must be received within 7 days. Deposit requested will be 50% for The Ballroom or The Speakeasy, or 100% for The French Quarter. Deposits are refundable if you provide a minimum of 4 weeks notice on any cancellation, otherwise deposits are non-refundable. The balance should be paid on the night of your event to the duty manager. Please note that we are an over 18 only venue.

These are guideline prices and can be tailored depending on the event.

*To use the projector system guests must bring their own laptop and VGa cable with them, if you have a Mac laptop then you must also bring an apple VGa adaptor.
