Zechariah’s Day

Zechariah’s day began like any other

as his course was preparing the temple for the daily sacrifice. He was chosen by lot

for a once in a lifetime duty, to be

the one who burned the incense before the Holy of Holies!

Mary’s Day

Mary was in the midst of being a betrothed

woman. She had accepted a coin or letter from Joseph

(the equivalent of our engagement ring),

and was waiting for the day that Joseph would lead her into

his house as wife.
