Crown’ • 9 p.m. on TLC • Miss America isn’t what it used to be. Again this year, a reality series precedes the pageant, with viewers voting contestants into the inals. “Countdown to the Crown” begins with all 52 would-be Miss Americas (including Miss Missouri, Lacey Fitzgerald of Richmond.) living together on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, Calif., and getting notes on fashion and beauty from a panel of stylists. Mario Lopez is host.

‘Lipstick Jungle’ •NBC (Channel 5) • If nothing but reruns were on all the other channels, would enough viewers with Nielsen boxes watch “Lipstick Jungle” to save it from the cancellation ax? Tonight offers a test of that proposition, boosted by a guest appearance by singer Natasha Bedingield.

In the story line, Wendy (Brooke

Shields) discovers that Shane (Paul Blackthorne) is still considering going on tour with Bedingield, which puts a strain on their marriage. Nico (Kim Raver) is challenged by a new media executive, and the strain leads to “a new level of intimacy” with Grifin (James Lesure). And Victory (Lindsay Price) tries to ind the perfect way to propose to Joe (Andrew McCarthy).

‘Constantine’ • 7 p.m. on AMC • Keanu Reeves is back from hell in the 2005 thriller with Rachel Weisz.

‘Phantom of the Paradise’ •p.m. on Fox Movie Channel • A disigured musician (William Finley) sells his soul so a beautiful woman (Jessica Harper) will perform his music in Brian de Palma’s 1974 twist on “The Phantom of the Opera.”
