The Wyoming Historic Governor’s Mansion is the home of my hero, Nellie Tayloe Ross, the first female governor.

Buford’s hero is Max, Governor Leslie Miller’s

black dachshund.

Curt Gowdy State Park has lots of trails to hike on. Mom says I need to work off all that energy, but

Buford is more hyper than I am!

Yellowstone National Park is home to Old Faithful, a geyser that shoots water up to 140 feet in the air! I still have a lot of

growing to do, but I don’t think I’ll ever be quite THAT tall.

Devils Tower used to be a volcano! In fact, the tower used to be magma that cooled into stone. Native American legend says

bears left the huge scratch marks in the sides.

Thanks for joining Cassidy and Buford on their trip! You can enjoy your own Wyoming adventures free for a full year!

All kids in the fourth grade have access to their own Every Kid in a Park pass at www.everykidinapark.gov. This pass provides free access for fourth graders and three accompanying adults (or an entire car for drive-in parks) to federally-managed sites in Wyoming and across the country.

In addition, Wyoming State Parks and Cultural Resources will honor Every Kid in a Park passes that have the state parks sticker included with this coloring book.

You need to print your pass and bring it with you when you visit. Electronic copies aren’t accepted. At certain participating sites, you can exchange the paper pass for a durable plastic Interagency Annual 4th Grade Pass. Your pass has a unique code. That means you can’t copy it and give it to friends. Encourage your friends to get their own pass if they’re in the fourth grade.

The Every Kid in a Park program is designed to continue each year with the then-current group of fourth graders.
