Milkplan is a modern manufacturer of systems and technological ap-plications for livestock farming units and holds a leading market po-sition in Greece as well as abroad. Our history
By the mid-1980s, Triantafyllos Imeridis and his associate Vassilis Makropoulos had already built a name for themselves for the quality of their work involving stainless metal. Their company - by the name Inox Center - made serious investments in metal processing and cooling technologies and was well poised to meet the dairy industry’s safe-ty and reliability requirements. Within a few years they managed to transfer their know-how on metal to the production of livestock farm-ing equipment, set new quality standards for the sector and made the company a leader in the Greek market. Following the huge success, in 2007 it was decided to change the company’s name to Milkplan and focus exclusively on milk cooling, milk transport and milking applica-tions.
Today Milkplan owns two production facilities in Greece with a total surface area of 14,000 sq.m., top-quality, high-precision mechanical equipment - laser machines for cutting metal sheets and cylindrical tubes, laser machines for welding metal sheets, an integrated robot-ic line for cutting and stacking metal sheets, high-precision punch-ing systems, as well as a «Research and Development» Department that is constantly improving existing products and designing new ones signed by Milkplan.

The success of a dairy farm depends on the appropriate techno-logical solutions that are selected to form part of the farm. Tech-nological applications and automated systems are what defines speed and productivity figures, as well as the safety and hygiene of the products. Based on modern requirements the livestock farm-ing equipment created by Milkplan is a synonym for quality and a guarantee of a successful result.
Milk cooling tanks
Milkplan manufactures vertical - open type and horizontal - closed type milk cooling tanks, made of stainless steel according to in-ternational standard ISO 5708 and quality certification standard EN 13732. Milkplan’s leading position in open milk cooling tank exports and its significant market shares (in the closed type milk cooling tank market) prove in the best possible way the enviable performance of the products under its brand.
The following are included among the leading functional charac-teristics of cooling tanks under the Milkplan brand: excellent in-sulation, automatic stirring, accurate volume measurement, elec-tronic temperature control, effective internal cleaning of the tank, ease of use and transport of the tanks.
Milking systems
Milkplan designs, manufactures and proposes solutions that sup-port in practice a modern livestock farming unit for sheep/goats and cows. One-button trapping systems and ergonomic design for ease of use, quick entry and exit of the animals which results in a significant reduction in the milker’s working time, feeding troughs and individual feeding troughs, animal safety thanks to the cylin-drical tube laser cutting machine that smoothes all edges at any point, automatic milking equipment with state-of-the-art electron-ic means, durable top-quality milk clusters made of resistant sil-icone, as well as a fully automated CIP washing system comprise an integrated proposal for the operation of a modern unit.

Electronic herd management
Milkplan provides a invaluable tool to its customers, concerning the electronic herd management, that is called Afimilk. Afimilk is the glob-al leader in the field of technologies for the management of milk and dairy production, as well as electronic herd management for sheep/goats and cows.
The specialized software is an automated dairy farm control system that also records the farm’s operational data. A central electronic sys-tem enable livestock farmers to have a full and coherent picture of the farm, while collecting valuable information helps them achieve im-proved performance.

Our facilities
Milkplan’s constant expansion has led to two facilities in Greece with a total area of 14,000 sq.m. Designed according to European standards, both branches use high-end CAD / CAM design systems and high-preci-sion mechanical equipment like laser cutting machines, an integrated robotic line for cutting and stacking metal sheets, laser machines for welding metal sheets and punching systems. One of Milkplan’s main concerns is the constant improvement of its mechanical equipment and its enrichment with new additions, as well as the enhancement of the research and development lab with systems that not only render it truly competitive in today’s market but also place it one step ahead.
