EVOLVING LIFESTYLE AT JAJPUR
Odisha is fast becoming one of the leading Indian states in organised industry.
Naturally rich in resources, the state has attracted a lot of large conglomerates and is undergoing a period
of rapid industrialisation.
As part of this evolution, Jajpur district is being transformed from a traditional
agricultural and mining economy to an industry oriented one. The Daitari mines within the district, famous

Neelanchal, Bhusan and Maithan. The combined proposed annual capacity of these steel plants is 20
million tons (approx) in the coming few years with a proposed investment of about
Rs. 40,000 crores.
