Blown Away

One dreary day, Gordon invited Luc and Flora for a picnic on

Beaver Mountain. Gordon brought some sandwiches. He asked

Luc and Flora to bring snacks and drinks for them.

They had barely been gotten to the peak when they heard

a low, rumbling sound in the distance.

"It sounds like thunder," said Flora.

"Oh, no! The weather forecast didn't call for rain," said Gordon.

Suddenly, they saw a large, swirling cloud coming.̀

"What's that?" said Luc.

"It looks like a tornado!" shouted Gordon.

The children got on the ground and covered their heads just like

they learned to do at school, but they were quickly sucked up

into the large, swirling tornado.

A few minutes later, the children were

relieved to find themselves safely back

on the ground. They found themselves in

a wonderful place.

They were on top of a cottage made

completely of candy. Flora thought that it

must be a dream. She climbed up on the

roof and started breaking off pieces to

give to Luc and Gordon.

A witch came to the door. She wanted to know how the children

found her house.

Just then, they heard the same low, rumbling sound that they had

heard on Beaver Mountain. They were very scared and started to

in a horse-drawn carriage.

"What is this place?" asked Luc.

"I think we traveled back in time,"

Outer space is vast, so there were many places for the children to

The tornado had pulled the children deep under the ocean. They were

swimming around and exploring their new surroundings when they found

themselves next to a round, metallic thing. "What is it?" Flora asked.

"I think it looks like a submarine. I've always wanted to ride in one,"

said Gordon. "Do you think there are people in there? How can we get

inside to see?" "Let's try knocking."

After a while, more of their friends showed up, and Luc, Gordon, and

Flora continued to recount their amazing story. They had seen so many

wonderful places. They hoped that next time they would be able to bring

more of their friends along with them.
