PATTERSON, William- 84, Oakville, On-tario, passed away at Northridge Long Term Care Cent re on December 31 , 2006. Born in Carrickfergus, County An-trim, Ireland on July 20, 1922, he was a son of the late William and Emily (Taylor) Patterson. His parents moved from Ire-land to Winnipeg, Manitoba with he and his brother James, when they were young boys. William was a Canadian Veteran and served overseas in Europe in World War II with the 12th Manitoba Dragoons. He served in Korea with the Strathcona Horse. He retired from the Military in 1972, and then worked for Mack Truck in Oakville. He is survived by his wife of 59 years. Shella Patterson (Shand), Oak-vi l le, Ontario, Daughter Heather Rea, (Steven Jensen), grandchildren Rob and Andrea MacGregor, al l of Hali fax; his brother James Patterson of Winnipeg, Manitoba, who was very special to him. Remembered by Betty Shand, Alistair and Joyce Shand, (Red Deer, Alberta) and their families. With special thanks to al l of the Northr idge Long Term Care Centre staff , to Wendy Taylor for her great kindness to "Billy". to all of the Tra-falgar house staff, and to Angela and George. To Anna Dare, Dr. Elgie, Jolaine Montgomery, Sue Fedun and everyone who was so good to Bill, thank you. We should all be so blessed as to have so many kind, compassionate and caring people with us when our lives end. No fu-neral by request. Left to mourn is her loving husband of 59 Ω years, Walter and their beloved children Margaret Ann (Pierre Gendreau), Barry (Frances Good), Jane (Patr ick McCarney), Mary Louise (widow of the late Paul Dziedzic) and Helen (James Gower). Special Grandma to 12 adoring grandchildren. McKEE, Marion Doris, R.N. (nee Link-later)- Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family after a coura-geous 13 year bat t le wi th cancer, on January 1, 2007. Beloved wife of John fo r 52 years . Lov ing Mom to D iana M c K e e ( D e n n i s H e a t h c o t e ) , D a n i e l McKee, Patricia McKee (Bill Little), and Cather ine McKee (Mark Fox) . Much loved Grandma of Stephanie, Jonathan, Megan and Rebecca. Survived by her sisters Beverly Starr and Shirley Samuel-sen, and her sister-in-law Isabella Yaka-shiro. Marion was a lifelong learner and had many interests which included her palliative care volunteer work at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, her longtime membership to Munn's United Church, her membership to the Oakville Camera Club, and she also enjoyed spending time playing bridge. McCOLEMAN: DonaldIt is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Don McColeman on Janua r y 3 , 2007 a t the age of 76 years. Left to cherish his memory are his lov ing wi fe of 45 yea rs , Shi r ley (nee McCarthy); children Douglas, Scott, Tara and Laura, Daughter-in-law Linda and Son-in-laws Stephen and Tim and grand-children Meghan, Marie and Amber. He is also survived by his sisters Gail and Sharon, nephews, nieces and other family members and fr iends. Don was prede-ceased by his parents, and his brother Alan. Don was born on December 23, 1930 in Toronto. Don's lifelong passion for teach ing and educa t ion was su r -passed only by his love for his family and his wife Shirley. Dad cherished his in-volvement with his children and grandchil-dren's lives. No matter what, he was al-ways there. Friends will be received at the J.
